Episode 01: Let's Go Shopping! (Part 02)

After Jihoon and Gwaenhi ate, it was time for them to pay the restaurant bill. Jihoon caught her looking for a credit card so he immediately placed his own. Even if it would be a thrill to eat for free, he wouldn't want to leave a bad impression on her.

"I-I..." Gwaenhi didn't even get to finish nor put down her card after what he did. The bill was handed to the waiter who gladly took it.

"It's alright, you don't need to pay."

"Are you sure? I can pay for at least half of it."

"Don't worry about it, it's my treat." He smiled at her and got his card back from the waiter.

"If you say so." Gwaenhi put her wallet back in her bag. "Let's go?" Jihoon nodded in response and quickly followed her.

They entered the black shiny van parked in front of the restaurant. A lot of the seats were vacant because they were the only passengers. When the driver took off, he also turned on the radio. It played a familiar, sappy song that Jihoon and Gwaenhi would obviously know.

"Ayiya if you’re just a dream
I would say it’s a pretty and sad dream
Why yaiya with your sweet voice
You tell me you are my best friend..."

Jihoon felt somewhat awkward with the song playing in the background. Gwaenhi glanced at him and shifted uncomfortably. Why did this song play right now? Damn it. She thought.

Amber: Oh gosh someone spare their lives, this part just started and it's already awkward!

A few moments later, they arrived at IKEA. It was the same one Jihoon, Junkyu, Mashiho, and Asahi went to in one of the Treasure Map Season 1 episodes. It then gave him a hint that they would shop for furniture and decorations.

The place was huge, Gwaenhi even found it overwhelming. She loved going to these types of stores cause of their room showcases. Back when she was younger, she would often daydream about different designs and interior to put in her future home.

When they got down of the car, Jihoon was handed the second mission card which he read out loud. "Surprise, welcome to IKEA! Your first mission is to shop for furniture and appliances for your home. Do not worry, there is no limit to what you buy as long as it's not in your home yet! There is a consequence for every item you buy that is already located in your house. Let's see what the newlyweds shopping strategy is."

Gwaenhi looked so happy while Jihoon looked like he wanted to have a mental breakdown. He liked the idea of the mission but shopping for a home is not his strength. This was something he should leave to the hands of his virtual wife.

Seungkwan: The husband looks problematic now. Good luck with that, bro.

"I'm so excited! Ah, I hope we don't end up buying something that we already have. Variety show consequences always embarrass me." Gwaenhi had a huge smile on her face, showing her only whisker dimple on her right cheek.

"I have to warn you, I'm not good at this. I'm just thinking about it but I feel like we're going to buy things we already have." He snickered.

"Aish it's fine you're used to doing consequences anyways." She joked.

The couple went to the first aisle containing the furniture. "What's our gameplan? What are we gonna buy first?" Jihoon asked her like she the leader of this mission.

Sana: This is like a group project where the members all follow the leader cause they don't know what to do. *laughs*
