Off-Cam 06: Fate

"What do you mean we just got exposed? What happened?" Jihoon asked her in confusion.

"No, not that. Have you even checked your phone? Dispatch just released an article about us dating four years ago!" Gwaenhi showed the article on her phone to him. He read the headline of the article written in bold letters, "BREAKING: TREASURE's Jihoon and CARAMIA's Gwaenhi Reportedly Dated Four Years Ago".

"Oh crap, no, no, no. How did that happen? How did they know?" He stressfully ran his fingers through his hair. Just yesterday, she started talking about their past relationship and now they're trending on the Korean entertainment news. Everything was happening too fast.

"I don't know but they have pictures from our private Instagram accounts." She said in an annoyed tone. She immediately left the article and went to her private account.

"Who in the world had the guts to expose a relationship that ended four years ago?" She thought. Her private account only had 50 followers, they were all private accounts of artists that she was close with too. It would be a shame if she found out who gave those pictures to that crappy news tabloid.

Jihoon did the same thing, he logged into his private Instagram account and looked at his followers. He had 66 followers, his case was almost the same as Gwaenhi's but it also had Instagram accounts of his classmates back in college. Both of them were pissed, it was unacceptable that Dispatch and whoever follower from Instagram did them dirty like that. Aside from that, the article even contained false and inaccurate information. The two of them scrolled like madmen, looking at each and every profile that was on their followers list. They suspected that it might be one of their old mutual friends but the action seemed unclear, a dead friendship should not mean that they can spread secrets and rumors about a person.

Gwaenhi's phone rang which made Jihoon look at her. With an annoyed expression, she answered. "Hello?"

"Gwaenhi, how are you and Jihoon holding up on the rumors?" Her manager asked with a soft and concerned tone.

"I'm kind of stressed but I think I can handle it." She sighed and fixed the way she was sitting down.

"Can we have a meeting at your house later? I'll bring along Treasure's manager too. You're both releasing a song today, it would seem a bit odd if we made the two of you go to the YG building."

"What time will you visit?"

"Around 2 P.M. maybe? You still need to do a live at 3, we'll just make the meeting quick."

"Okay, I'll see you later." She didn't even wait for her manager to drop the call, she just did it herself.

She sighed in a distressed manner, today was supposed to be a good day cause of their anticipated song release.

"Was that your manager?"

"Yeah, our managers are gonna drop by later. Obviously, it's about the article." Gwaenhi fiddled with her fingers as she thought about how to explain everything to their managers without making it seem like everything's a mess.

"I hate times like these but... what's our game plan? Do we make a story up or do we just tell them the truth?" He was much calmer now after seeing her stressing out. Jihoon knew how to adjust to the situation and didn't want to add up to her frustration.

"Of course we should tell them the truth, I'm not actually concerned with what they have to say. I'm more concerned on who leaked those pictures," She tied her hair up into a ponytail and sighed.

"I don't like seeing you like this, it's bothering me." He stood up from the chair and sat down next to her. "How bout' we eat some breakfast, get ready for later's agenda and not think too much about it huh?" He said in a comforting voice.
