He Di is playing the piano, while Yue lounges on the sofa with Yuèqín lying on her stomach. She is stroking her baby's head with a smile on her face, as she listens to the romantic song He Di has dedicated to them. It has become their daily routine since the day Yuèqín stopped screaming her head off, when her daddy dashed to the piano in an attempt to calm her down. He Di finishes the song, Yue clapping softly and gazing at him with admiring eyes. He heads over to the sofa to join her, immediately taking Yuèqín into his arms, holding her close to his chest and sniffing her baby head. Yue's heart melts as she regards her husband and their little girl. Each day her capacity to love them expands and sometimes she feels like she will just burst from all the emotions inside her. She wouldn't have it any other way.
"What are you looking at?" Asks He Di, cheekily.
"You." Yue replies tenderly.
"Do you like what you see?"
"I love it."
"I love what I see too." He responds, smiling sweetly at her.
At that moment Yuèqín gurgles cutely, causing He Di to shift her in his arms in order to look at her face.
"Aw Qínqín, Daddy loves you so much my little bao bun." He says squeezing her cheeks.
Yuèqín smiles at him and breaks out into laughter. He Di giggles and Yue slides closer to him, wrapping her arm around his waist and kissing Yuèqín's forehead.
"I'm happy it's just us three, Baobei." Says He Di.
"So I take it you don't miss my Mother?" Chuckles Yue.
"I can kiss you anywhere in the house now whenever I want!" Laughs He Di, giving her a quick peck. "I just feel free without having her hover over us."
"Me too Baobei, but you do realize that we won't be alone for long right?"
He Di sighs and says,
"When does your sister arrive?"
"Today, I told you this already."
"I was hoping the answer would change. Your mother only left last week and we have barely had time to just be the three of us. Can't we put her up in a hotel?"
"He Di we agreed about this!" Yue replies with a flash of irritation in her voice. "Chao Xing was there for me when I thought I had lost you forever, now it's my turn to be there for her. You may not have connected with John but he was important to Chao Xing. She went through a lot for him and it's all come to naught, so I just need you to stop!"
Before He Di can respond, the doorbell rings and Yue stands up. She looks sternly at He Di, who is upset and scowling up at her.
