in a panic, yoongi finds a corner to hide behind, not too far from where the two girls were talking.

'how the hell do they know each other?'  yoongi thought.

watching closely, it seemed like alex was ranting. miyoung was listening closely, and her gaze seemed so fond towards alex.

yoongi opened his ears a bit more to listen in.

"what do i do? i've literally never been in this situation before and it's killing me." alex says, running a hand through her hair in frustration.

yoongi questioned in his head what she could be stressing out about. then again, it could be anything but himself.

miyoung places her hand on alex's arm, and caresses it. "it's gonna be okay. it's nothing you won't be able to handle."

alex nods slowly, her gaze going to her feet.

"i know i haven't been by your side like i should be...but i promise i'll always be here, dongsaeng. whenever you need me."

yoongi's eyes immediately widened at the name.

dongsaeng?

the two girls share a hug, before another girl comes running towards them enthusiastically.

"hey girlies! i got the iced coffees for y'all!"

before yoongi could listen in anymore on the conversation, he walks in away, still in complete shock at the realization.

'so they're sisters....does that mean miyoung already knew who i was from when we were children?' yoongi questioned further in his thoughts as he began to walk off campus.

yoongi chuckles to himself, "she must have been looking after me all this time, then."

he remember the morning in miyoung's guest bedroom after he had told her why he got wasted the night before. the assuring smile she gave him, like an angel would.

"i guess she is alex's angel too."

after some talk with alex and miyoung, yuri decided to take her leave since alex was going to work at the library soon, and the two needed to catch up anyway.

she had told them she was going home, however, she was actually going to go meet with jungkook.

she didn't want to tell alex, not that it would have been bad to tell her, she just felt that alex would have stopped her from going to apologize to him.

yuri stops in front of the boba cafe, inhaling slowly. she was quite nervous, because jungkook seemed quite dry over text, so she didn't know if jungkook is super angry with her.

all she needed to do now is apologize.

she opens the door, revealing the simple, but aesthetic design of the boba cafe and peaceful conversing around the cafe.

her eyes immediately found jungkook's football jacket, sitting with his back facing her and his phone in front of him.

before she could make any objections with herself, she quickly strides over to the table he sat at and sat right in front of him.

"hey, gguk!" she greets him like usual, and he looks up from his phone. his expression seemed unfazed, as he puts his phone down.

"hey."

blinking in awkwardness, yuri still tries to lighten up the mood. "can i um, get you a drink..?"

her tone sounded unsure as hell, because honestly, she was unsure as hell. jungkook looked like he didn't even want to be there.

"i already got it, it's on the way." he replies simply.

yuri raises her eyebrows in surprise, before relaxing in her seat. "oh, alright then."

a short silence come between the two, and yuri begins to fiddle with her fingers, trying to find the right words to say to him.

her mind kept saying to do it, but for some reason, there was a part of her that just wanted to leave because the situation made her feel so horrible.

the only right thing to do, however, is to apologize.

"look, gguk..." she gazes down at her fingers. "i just wanted to say.."

her eyes slowly look up to meet his. "i'm really sorry."

jungkook blinks, before raising an eyebrow. "sorry? for?"

"for..." yuri sighs, letting her fingers go of each other. "setting you up with alex. it was a joke to me, but it ended up in you being hurt...."

jungkook's expression softens. yuri continues, "it's my fault you got hurt. i didn't even check in with alex first if she was even available. it was all a joke to me, and i shouldn't have done this to either of you."

she awaits his response, but jungkook continues to stare at her.

"y-you don't have to forgive me. i understand you if you don't, i just really wanted to apologize..." yuri stammers, fiddling with her fingers again.

she begins to curse under her breath, looking down at her hands again.

her eyes suddenly widen when a hand was placed on top of her fiddling ones. she looks up and sees jungkook staring at her with a softer expression.

"stop fiddling with your fingers, you might end up picking at your own skin."

slowly, he lets go of her hand and goes back to his previous position.

"to be honest, you kind of did hurt my feelings. obviously not more than alex did but...like you said it was all a joke to you. you set me up with a girl who had another guy on her mind, and i ended up catching feelings." jungkook begins speaking up, coming clean about how he was feeling.

"but..." he pauses, "i know you only meant well. it's not like you set me up to purposely get my heartbroken right?"

frantically, yuri shakes her head. jungkook chuckles lightly at that.

"then, of course i forgive you. everyone messes up. besides, alex isn't the only girl in the world. i can't just let one girl ruin my entire life, right?"

yuri's lips perk up at that. jungkook's mindset was so positive despite the situation, and everything could of gone worse had he not kept that mindset.

it amazed her.

"yeah, you're right." yuri replies in agreement. "wow, i wish i could think like you do. when a guy breaks my heart, i feel like it's the end of the world."

jungkook laughs, "there's a lot more you don't know about me, yuri."

yuri raises her eyebrows, before laughing along with him. "well then, i guess i'll just tune in to the show a bit longer then."

the two laugh for a moment, and the atmosphere finally became brighter around them.

"two mango green teas!" the barista calls out, and jungkook calms his laughter down. "that's us."

the two friends stand up, and retrieve their orders, bowing as a "thank you" towards the barista and began walking out of the cafe.

"damn, you got me a large?" yuri says in amazement, and jungkook hums happily, sipping on his boba.

"ugh, i don't deserve you. i'm sorry aga-"

before yuri can apologize for the nth time, jungkook interrupts her by wrapping his arms around her.

her eyes immediately widen in shock, her body freezing in his arms.

"stop apologizing, you idiot."

for a moment, they stayed in the hug, and yuri wasn't even close to getting used to jungkook's touch. finally, he pulls away.

"cmon, lets go for a walk and then i'll bring you home, mkay?'
