alex exclaims in a worried tone, hearing yoongi sniffling on the other line. yoongi tried to speak, but he began to cry again.
"yoongi, please say something..."
she speaks softly now, trying to somehow comfort him.
"don't worry, i'm here. talk to me."
he begins to take deep breaths, although they were shaky.
"i-i just-"
he sniffles, "everything's a mess right now."
silence goes over the other line, as alex listens to yoongi trying to control his breaths, sniffling in between.
"i don't know what to do, i-" he chokes on his tears. "i'm sorry i shouldn't be bothering you right now-"
"no, you're not." alex cuts yoongi off with a sigh. "do you maybe wanna come by at my place and talk about it?'
yoongi finally takes a steady breath, "y-yeah. that would be...nice."
alex smiles over the phone. "i'll be waiting outside, okay?"
the phone beeps as alex hangs up, yoongi lowering his phone. he buries his head in his hands, closing his eyes.
'everything will be fine, i have alex, don't i?'

as alex was getting ready to head outside and wait for yoongi, a knock was suddenly heard at her door.
she stops whatever she was doing, opening up the door to reveal a grinning jungkook.
alex raises her eyebrows in surprise, "oh, jungkook?"
"hey,." he smiles at her, and she couldn't help but smile back. "what brings you here all of a sudden?"
sticking his hands in his pockets, he bites his lip nervously. "i actually...wanted to talk to you about something."
she raises an eyebrow, "oh, really?" he nods, smiling sheepishly.
"alright then, but let's do this outside. i've been meaning to head out, so." she tells him, and he obeys her as she slips her shoes on.
they walk outside, alex closing the door behind her. she faces jungkook, who's expression slightly looks uneasy.
"so, what's up?" alex speaks up.
jungkook pursues his lips, "there's been something that's been bothering me for the past few days, and i...i really can't ignore it anymore."
alex raises an eyebrow in curiosity, "and what is that?"
jungkook bites his lips once again, looking down. "i'm usually the one who's told these type of things, but, i guess i'm in their position now."
he steps closer to her, as alex stares at him with an expression of confusion. he meets her eyes, as he takes a deep breath.
"my entire life, i never thought someone could mean so much to me. whether it was one person, or two. someone i can look at, and all my fears, and worries, would immediately leave as if they weren't there. someone who could make me feel warm, happy, and at ease..."
alex listens carefully to jungkook's words, as he continues to close the space between them.
"i've never met someone as special as you."
alex's eyes widen at his words, as jungkook interlocks their fingers together. he breaks out a smile, looking deeper into her eyes.
"....i'm in love with you, alex."
jungkook confesses, and alex is left speechless, not knowing what to say as jungkook stares at her with anticipation.
"i-i..." she avoids eye contact with him, lost and not knowing what to say to his confession.
alex has never thought of jungkook more than a friend. he was a sweet guy and she enjoyed being around him. however, she wasn't in love with him.
suddenly, her eyes land on a familiar figure. quickly enough, she realized, it was yoongi.
she notices his clenched fists, and an unreadable expression as he looks at the scene in front of him.
"yoongi-" she was about to call his name, until he suddenly storms away. immediately, alex lets go of jungkook's hand and runs after him.
she ignore jungkook's calls for her, as her focus was only fixated on yoongi.
she didn't know why she ran away. she didn't know why she wanted to chase after him. all she knew was that she needed to be there for yoongi.
because who knows what he could be going through alone?
alex finally catches sight of him, as he stands in front of the crosswalk. the streetlights were enough for alex to see him, and catch up to him.
once she does, she grabs his wrist. panting, she begins to speak.
"y-yoongi, why did you run away?"
he stares at her with the same expression he had earlier, his body tense. "let go of my hand, alex." he says through clenched teeth.
alex notices his messy hair and puffy eyes, staring into hers with fury. she was stunned at how cold he was speaking to her.
he shakes her hand away, and starts walking across the street. alex starts to run after him, grabbing his wrist.
"yoongi, we need to talk-"
"let go!"
yoongi raises his voice, yanking alex hand away from him, making her stumble back a little.
"just go back to him, you don't need me anymore."

he says coldly, leaving alex to stand in the middle of the street, speechless and dumbfounded. tears began to well up in her eyes, running down her cheek one by one.
