JULY 2009.

after what yoongi had said about "practicing with passion", alex had been practicing non-stop after that. she started to grow a love for piano...and maybe started growing some sort of an attachment to that boy.

feeling proud of herself, she skipped into mr.song's classroom with a cheerful smile. "hi, mr.song!" alex greets her piano teacher, and he chuckles whole-heartedly at her attitude.

"someone's in a good mood today."

eleven-year-old alex sits behind her piano, patiently waiting for all the students to arrive. specifically, yoongi.

after the spring festival, mr.song was amazed at how good alex's performance was. he then decided to let yoongi continue to tutor alex.

finally, the person that had alex waiting entered the classroom. he greeted mr.song with a slight bow from his head, sitting behind his piano.

not even noticing alex waving at him.

alex's smile fell, as she awkwardly put her hand back down at her side. she sighed, but gave him the benefit of the doubt.

when it was time, yoongi approached alex, sitting on another chair beside her. like usual.

alex was currently practicing a piece she had been learning since the week before.

however, she was having issues with moving her fingers fast enough to fit the rhythm. yoongi noticed that, and stood up. alex groaned, sighing in frustration.

her eyes widened in size when she felt a hand being placed over her right hand. "just stay still, and watch." yoongi softly assured her, and she gulped.

slowly, he pressed each of her fingers down, playing the right-hand notes perfectly, at the perfect speed. meanwhile, alex was having trouble keeping herself together.

fortunately, yoongi couldn't hear the sound of her racing heartbeat.

alex was fascinated at how their hands fit together so perfectly, despite the size of his fingers being slightly larger than hers.

"there," yoongi spoke, taking his hand off alex's, sitting back down.

"if you're having trouble playing it at a faster tempo, you can play the notes slower, if that makes it easier for you. then, you may gradually make it faster." yoongi advised, and alex nodded, agreeing with his words.

a short silence came between them. alex took the opportunity to ask something of him.

"yoongi," she mutters softly, but it was still audible for him. he hums in response, making eye contact with the girl.

"can you...play something for me?"

yoongi raised his eyebrows. she hasn't asked something like this before, because really it was only about alex, not yoongi.

after gathering his thoughts, he replied. "sure."

after switching spots, yoongi placed his fingers on the piano, beginning to play a piece he had already known.

smoothly, he moved his left hand to match the notes being played with his right hand. alex always admired how yoongi played songs so beautifully, she aspired to play the piano just like him.

smooth, and soothing to the ears.

this song in particular was a favorite of yoongi's. he won the first place award at a competition with this song, and his mother enjoyed it as well.

it puts her to sleep after a long day of working, and yoongi personally loved the sound of it. to be frank, it was actually yoongi's suggestion to play this song, and mr.song gladly accepted it and taught him the song.

"it reminded my mom of a date she went on with my father," yoongi told mr.song. "they once just lied down on a mat, staring at the stars...just talking, and laughing."

a small, but sad smile grazed over his lips. "it's sad that my mother can't experience those types of things anymore."

alex laid her head on top of a desk, her head facing yoongi. her eyes studied his features, and she was mesmerized by his soft-looking skin, his cute cheeks, and his narrow eyes. his bangs covered his eyes a little bit, and alex found it cute.

slowly, her eyes started to close. she was already content just by hearing the boy play.

moments later, yoongi finished the song, his hands falling down on to the piano gently. he looked over at the girl beside him, and she was asleep.

yoongi tilted his head a little, for a good view of her face. he chuckled lightly, "i guess this makes everyone fall asleep, huh?"

for a bit, he contemplated in his mind if he should wake her up or not. he didn't want her to end up staying all evening. however, the sight of her cute sleeping face was adorable.

yoongi scoffed quietly, shaking his head. "that's creepy, stop it."

he stood up from his chair, shaking the girl slightly. "alex~" even with a slight shake, she was able to wake up.

her eyes fluttered open, as she adjusted her sight. her eyes then met with yoongi's.

"how long have i been asleep?" she asks, her voice soft. "not too long." yoongi replies, standing up.

"come on, let's go back to the classroom. class is almost over."
