5.30 am
"Beep beep beep!" Urgh!
Switching off the alarm, I got out of my bed groggily. My hair looks like a freaking bird's nest and there appears to be drool at the corner of my mouth.
Tres attractive. Not.
I dragged myself to the toilet to freshen up. After brushing my teeth and whatnot, I chose the outfit which I had bought the day before.
Make up or no make up? Maybe not. Who has the time anyway? Au naturale is the way to go.
I made myself some scrambled eggs with a few slices of bread since I had some time to spare.
My phone begins to vibrate. There is a text from Amaryllis, my best friend. She is a beautiful person, just like her name.
Amaryllis ♥:
"Hey Sera! I'll be in the driveway in 5 minutes! See you soon! Xoxo"I smiled at the text. I have known Amaryllis practically my whole life. 12 years and counting to be exact.
The first time I met her was during kindergarten or otherwise known as elementary school. I was sitting in the sand castle pit when she approached me and asked if she could play with me.
I remember looking up from my mini sandcastle and eyed her warily, for fear of her destroying it.
Amaryllis was a charming girl with big, doe eyes the colour of Aquamarine. She was wearing a cute little dress with ducks scattered all over it. She had waited for my response whilst giving me a toothy grin.
Once I knew that she meant no harm, I replied, "Okay! You can sit right next to me!"
And that was how we became being best friends.
I gobbled the remaining eggs and cleaned everything up. I quickly took a bottle of mineral water and my backpack and rushed outside, not forgetting to lock the door.
