Amaryllis was in her car, eating what I suspect to be a peanut butter and jelly sandwich since it is practically her favourite combination ever.
My suspicions were proven correct once I got in her car.
"Hey Sera! You look cute today," Amaryllis commented.
"Thanks! I bought this outfit yesterday. By the way, are those pink streaks I see in your hair? It really goes well with your blonde hair."
"Aww, thanks! I was beginning to think that you didn't notice! And yes, I got my hair done yesterday."
And off we go. I turned up the radio and "Blank Space" by Taylor Swift came on.
It is our favourite song ever since Taylor released 1989. I looked towards Amaryllis and gave her a look which read, "Are you ready to sing your heart out?"
By her expression, I knew that she was.
"Nice to meet you, where you been? I could show you incredible things..."
We sang until we finally reached the school's carpark.
Standing majestically, Rosethorn High could easily pass off as a mansion due to it's splendour.
And before you can say that it is a school for the rich, it is not.
But like most schools, there is a social hierachy - the jocks, the academically-inclined and a few others. Oh, did I also mention that there is a queen bee? No? Oops, my bad.
Specimen A, Jessica Goodwill. Ha! As if she is as pure as her name implies.
Specimen B, Hailey Bradley, second in command. She is as typical as she can be with her nasally high-pitched voice.
And lastly, specimen C, Coco Maverly. I mean, what kind of name is Coco?
"Look what we have here, Sera," Jessica spoke in her ever so sweet voice whilst emphasising on my name.
Great. Speak of the devil and he shall appear.
I honestly have no idea why she hates me that much. Alright, maybe I do. It was only during freshman year. Being the klutz that I was (and still is), I spilled some water on her towering terror or the proper term, heels.
It was just water! Seriously, how can she be so sensitive? Apparently, Her Royal Highness deemed me unworthy of her presence. So Jessica being Jessica, she sneered at me.
She just loves tormenting others, doesn't she?
"OMG! Just look at that atrocious outfit. If I didn't know better, I would say that you're going to a funeral," Jessica continued whilst her minions laughed or shall I say, cackled.
Just listening to them sends a shudder down my spine.
I rolled my eyes and ignored them. Why waste my breath on someone so underserving?
"Just ignore them Sera. Jessica and her clones look like a neon signboard," said Amaryllis.
I let out a low chuckle. "I know right."
The bell rang, signalling everyone that lessons were about to start.
