Entry Thirteen...

"You did what?!" screeched Amaryllis.

I covered my ears as a means to protect them from the banshee which is my best friend. She had on a bewildered expression and had difficulty forming words.

"But you just met him. Why, no, how?"

I shrugged. "It just almost happened Amaryllis. Keyword being almost."

She gave me an are-you-serious expression and I had to restrain myself from laughing. I took a deep breath and collected my thoughts.

"I don't know. I've never felt this way before. It's like something clicked. Like a connection was made. A familiar one. Now that I think about it, I've never felt this connection around Ryder."

"Mm hmm. The next thing you know, you tell me that it's fate and all that bullshit," retorted Amaryllis.

I rolled my eyes. "Don't kill my vibe, I'm being serious here," I sulked.

"I was just pulling your leg," laughed Amaryllis.

"Still being serious here," I said whilst folding my arms but there was a smile tugging at the end of my mouth.

"Aww, come on. Tell me everything."

I had on a real smile this time. "I don't know. There was this invisible string that pulled us together. I've never been so fascinated by a guy. Well, besides Ryder. But Hunter is different. He's nothing like Ryder. I guess all this while, I was just attracted to Ryder because of his mysterious aura that he tends to give off. As for Hunter, there's just something special about him."

"Amaryllis, you know how my gut feeling is always right, right?"

She simply nodded. "Well, my gut feeling tells me that it's perfectly alright to place my trust in Hunter. I feel like I've known him my whole life. It sounds crazy but that's the only way to put it."

"Somebody has caught the love bug," sang Amaryllis in a playful tone.

"There's no such thing as love at first sight. I don't really believe in that. But I am attracted to him. Not because of his looks. Although, I have to say, that's a plus point. But that's besides the point. It's just the way he expresses himself, his opinions and just being himself around me."

Amaryllis rested her head on her hands and I could see the gears turning in her head. "You've never felt this way before, right?" I nodded. "I've personally never seen this Hunter dude before so I can't be quick to judge him. But from what you told me, he seems like a pretty nice guy. Hey, you should introduce him to me one day. You know, to see whether he passes the best friend stage which is me," said Amaryllis theatrically.

I hugged my best friend and said, "I'd love for you to meet him."

"Wait, aren't we forgetting something? Or someone? Perhaps, someone by the name of Ryder?"

I groaned. "After I realised that I don't have feelings for Ryder as I thought I had, it's best that we remain as friends."

"I support your decision, whatever it is. You know that I'll always have your back."

"Aww, since when did you become so corny?"

"Since when have I not?" Amaryllis flicked her hair. The both of us burst out laughing.

A/N: Hello readers! Oooh, did Ryder just got friendzoned by Sera? And this new revelation about Hunter. Personally, I vote for Team Hina. *nod nod*
