Dear diary,

Now that I've confirmed my feelings between Hunter and Ryder, it's time for me to tell Ryder considering that we're actually talking now. Funny how years back, I would've sighed if we were to actually be friends. Well, reality over expections.

As for Hunter, I should just take things slow by getting to know him more. Baby steps, I suppose.

Now that I think about it, Ryder seems too... How do I put it? Scripted? Yes, he gives me the vibe that there are more than meets the eye. I don't know, I just don't feel like my true self around him. It could be his mysterious aura or maybe there's something else.

The weeks flew by and the examination week kicked in. One assignment after the other.

It was hectic.

I spent most of the time studying at Amaryllis's or at the bookstore. Sometimes, in the school bleachers with Ryder but he had other things to settle most of the time. I wonder what's keeping him on his toes. He's always on the move.

I guess that there's nothing to be suspicious of. You're being too silly, Sera. I shook my head to rid it of its clutter.

I passed by Jessica and her minions several times this past few weeks. A few times, she tried to spill juice on me and claimed that she had fragile hands, tried to make me trip on the account of her stretching her legs and the list goes on. I wonder how I'm still sane. What with examinations going on and well, Jessica.

It's funny how fast time flies. One moment, it's the first day of school, the other, a few months before graduation. I am still unsure as to which college I want to enrol in. I guess I can worry about that later.

For now, I shall worry about getting good grades to even be able to get into a college.

"Hey, do you want to grab a bite?" asked Hunter after we had finished our shift.

I was feeling rather hungry so I decided to take up his offer. "Yeah, what do you feel like eating?"

"Hmm, why don't you suggest a nice place since you've obviously lived here longer than me," He chuckled.

I pondered for a while.

"There's this diner near the Piere Beach. I go there to study or have time alone sometimes. They have the best burger and fries. Oooh, and the best of the best chocolate milkshake." I drooled at the thought. It was fueling my already grueling stomach.

Hunter noticed this and laughed. "Let's hurry before you drool even more." I turned my head away and blushed.

It was a twenty minutes walk from the bookstore. The air was more salty around here since it was much closer to the beach. It's been some time since I last came here. Oh, how I miss this place. And the fact that Hunter is the first person that I brought along.

The diner has been around since the 1990's. It still had its signature neon signboard which flickered 'Lillian's Drive' at night. Since it was evening already, it was starting to light up. I gave mum a quick text to inform her of my whereabouts.

The diner itself is classic. It has black and white tiles, plush red, leather sofa seats, vintage posters and photo frames, a pinball machine and waitresses in pink-striped aprons and rollerblades. Yes, rollerblades. Very classic. I've always wondered how they are able to balance the trays whilst on rollerblades. I suppose that requires me to have a good balance, which I don't have apparently.
