The Diary of Seraphina...

Entry Eight...

It was dawn. The sky was a dark grey with no clouds in sight. My alarm went off as usual, making me slip out of bed like the zombie I am.

I shuffled my feet towards the bathroom and stared at my reflection in the mirror. "Alright Sera, today is the day. You just have to be confident!"

Confidence. Confidence. Confidence. I repeated the words repeatedly in my head whilst bathing and brushing my teeth.

I took a look at my legs. "I so need to shave my legs. They look like a freaking cactus. Urgh!" After I deemed myself presentable, I headed towards my room, with a towel wrapped around my body.

I chose a simple peach coloured dress with a white cardigan. I slipped on a pair of black flats and arranged my hair into a messy bun. I sat in front of my vanity table and began applying some eye liner, mascara and lip gloss. Looking into the reflection, I said out loud, "Perfect! You just have to talk to Ryder. You can do it."

With that said, I texted Amaryllis that I'm ready to go. In case you're wondering, Amaryllis turned eighteen just a few months ago and has her driving licence already which means that I'll have to travel to school in her car until my eighteenth birthday.

Lucky for me, May is approaching which means a new car for me.

"So Sera, when are you going to talk to him?" Amaryllis asked and I knew who she was talking about.

She had just pulled up at the school's carpark. "I don't know. I'm practically shaking right now."

"Come on, you can do it! Don't be such a wuss Sera," Amaryllis playfully punched my arm.

I took a deep breath and sighed. "I can do it!" I got out of the car and started my hunt for Ryder. Not that I was planning on kidnapping him and eating him. Hold on. Why am I even thinking about these. Urgh. I'm rambling. Keep your eye on the prize Sera.

Let's just hope that Jessica and her minions will be too busy tormenting some other poor kid to even bother me. I know that I'm being cruel and selfish right now but nothing stands in the way of Ryder. Nothing I can't handle anyway.

And there he stood in all his majestic glory. Ryder. His back was against his locker. Alright Sera, he's just in front of you. Just talk to him-- "Ouch." Great. Just great. Just when I thought that I wouldn't get embarrassed today. Something had to happen. Because I was too focussed on my thoughts, I hadn't notice the locker door opening.

I walked straight into it. Practically facepalmed into it too. I was stunned beyond words. Now, who is the idiot behind this locker? I was ready to shoot out insults but my breath got caught in my throat.

"R-ryder..." That idiot is Ryder.
