Chapter 32

Meet his parent's

*Elijah's POV*

I got home early after work so I decided to help around the cafe, cuz  Mrs. Hail had a birthday party to attend and we're the only one left here.

After done working at the cafe I head upstairs to clean my room.

"Hey" I saw Rosie leaning at the door

"What's up?" I reply

"We ordered food and got your fav! so come downstairs after you're done" she say and I nod

"Is Mrs. Hail not home yet?" I asked as I head to the kitchen

"Not yet she texted earlier that she'll be home late" Jacob answered

"Okay" I say as I grab some plates for us to use

"Let's eat" Rosie said

"Where's Nikolai?" I asked

"Coming" Nikolai shouted

After we had dinner I put the plates on the sink and Rosie cleans the table,  while Jacob and Nikolai insisted they'll wash the dishes.

I head back upstairs to feed lily.
"Hey girl I missed you" I say as I put food in her bowl.

You know what lily Lucas talked to me earlier about meeting his parent's.

I'm so nervous about tomorrow I mean I'll be meeting Lucas's parents! and I'm scared.

He insisted that it's time for us to tell them about our relationship.

I'm very happy about it but I just don't have the courage to face them.

I sigh, but I love him and I got to do whatever it takes to make him proud and happy.

I head to the bathroom to take a shower and brush my teeth.

I dry my hair with my towel as I walk towards the closet to find clothes.

I sigh, "I have parent's to meet tomorrow so I guess I'll go to sleep now"

I crash my body in the bed as I pull the cover and burry my face with a pillow.

"Goodnight lily wish me luck" I whisper

"Lucas what are your parent's like?, will they like me?, are my clothes right? and-" I say as he cut me off

"Love your fine you've been asking all over again just calm down and stop panicking okay? you're perfect the way you are" he say giving me a hopeful look

"Really?" I smile

"Of course love" he say cupping my cheeks

"But they're your parent's" I stare at him

"And I'm their son, and you are my perfect precious boyfriend" he say as he lean closer to kiss me.

"O-okay babe, thank you!" I exclaim

"So, you ready now?" he asked

"Yes I'am now" I said

"Okay let's go meet my parent's then" he say holding my hand as we head outside.

We climb to the car and head to Lucas's house.

Lucas POV

"Love we're here" I smile as I look at him

"You go first" he say not planning to get out of the car

"Love" I say pleading

"Okay okay" he say climbing out of the car

"Just breathe love okay?" I say holding his hand tightly.

"I'm fine babe" he say as we head to the door.

As I open the door I saw mom in the living room.

"Okay love this is it" I say as I tighten my grip on his hands

"Mom?" I say

"Hey son how are you?" she smile

"I'm fine um where's dad?" I asked

"In the bathroom" she replies and turn to look at Vincent

"Who's this pretty boy?" she smile

"Um I have something to tell you guys" I say as I felt Vincent's hand shaking and I caress it to calm him down

"Okay let's have a sit first" she say

We're now facing my dad and mom.

"So Lucas what do you want to say honey?" Mom asked

"Um mom, dad I here to introduce to you my boyfriend Vincent" I say as they all look shocked

"Can I talk to you alone for a minute Lucas" my dad said as he walks in the kitchen

"Okay Vincent I'll leave you with mom okay? I got to talk to dad" I say letting go of his hand

"Are you gonna be okay?" he asked worriedly

"I'll be fine love, I'll be back okay?" I say as he nod

I followed dad in the kitchen as I saw him drinking water.

"So how long have you been dating?" Dad asked

"Almost a year now" I say

"Do you love him?" he asked seriously

"Of course dad" I quickly respond

"Are you sure about this son?"
aren't you afraid of rumors spreading around you?

I mean I'm not saying that you should give up, of course you're my son I just want the best for you we'll always be here for you anyway and I just want to make sure your happy and well" he say

"Dad I love him very much, I know you're worried about me and I just want your support.
He's my happiness and he brings out the best in me dad, I promise you I'm going to be alright" I smile

"If you're truly happy being with him son well why not? You're our son and we're always here to support you, you can decide whatever you think is right cuz you're a grown man already" dad said not believing what he just said

"So that means you approve?" I asked surely

"Yes I approve" he smile as I hug him

"Thank you dad" I say as he tap my back

I head back to the living and saw Vincent and mom talking.

"Hey are you alright, what happened?" he asked worriedly

"Dad approved" I smile brightly

"What? Really!?" he exclaim

"That's great news son" my mom said

"Thank you both of you" I said hugging my mom.

"It's alright son, I'm glad you found the right one" she smile looking at Vincent

"Yes mom I'm so lucky" I said as I stare at Vincent's red cheeks

"Come visit us often you too" mom said as we wave her goodbye.

"I can't believe it!" I exclaim

"I'm proud of you" he smile

"I love you" I say kissing his forehead

"I love you too" he said as hugged me tightly.

I can't express how happy I felt today, I'm glad they approved us being together.

I can't for our future together with Vincent, I'm looking forward for the big things, but for now I just got to stay focus on what we have right now.

Like cuddling, taking care of him when he get sick, hug him, hold his hands, getting lost in his eyes and falling asleep with him wrapped by my arms.

I promise to love him until my very last breath.
