JENNIE
I was breathing slowly and carefully, trying to take in as much oxygen as my lungs could take while my eyes wandered around, looking for my son. The place was too dark and the pinkish lights coming from the portal are the only lights illuminating the farthest corner of the place.
My hands in a shackles, tightly gripping my wrists, I couldn't feel the ground beneath my feet and I'm pretty certain that I'm hanging in the air.
I heard shallow breathings on my left side and a faint whimper, it was a girl's voice and she seemed to be barely holding onto her dear life, I couldn't name whose voice was that as I could hear lot of agonizing scream from afar, echoing throughout the whole dark place.
"Mom! Mommy!"
My eyes widened upon hearing Lucas' voice, he was yelling and crying my name out, he's in pain. My throat was so dry that when I tried to say something, it hurt and no voice came out.
"L-lucas." I heard Jiyong's voice on my right side and if I could make my eyes even bigger, I would have done it, wondering what he's doing here. "Lucas."
"J-jiyong?" I whisper under my breath and I hear the shackles jiggles.
"Jennie? Is t-that you? W-what the h-hell?" His voice is raspy and hoarse, as if he hasn't been drinking water for a week now.
"I-it's me, please h-help my son." My tears started to roll down my cheeks and I couldn't do anything but to cry, I'm too weak to even move a single nerve and I felt so immobilized.
"D-don't speak, you need to control y-your breathing or you'll die." He said, his voice a little shaky. "But c-could you please t-tell me if Jieun is still breathing on your left?"
So it was IU?! Oh God! She's a human, how the hell was she also abducted by demons? But since I heard her still whimpering, I was sure as hell that she's still alive but barely breathing.
"S-she's still alive." I mumbled but I made sure that that was loud enough for him to hear.
"Thank you." He breathed out.
Silence engulfed us, but not too silent as we can still hear screams from people. We don't have any idea if they are being tortured or what, but one thing is for sure, they are all in pain.
I was waiting for Lucas' voice but I didn't hear him again. Instead, footsteps echo the place and they are walking towards us.
"Well what a good sight to see." A deep voice said in front of us, but since it was too dark and I'm unfamiliar with the brotherhood of thorns, I couldn't say whose voice it was.
"M-my son, where's m-my son?" I asked in a husky and raspy voice.
"You want to see your son? Are you sure?" Another voice asked, telling me that there are more than one demon in front of us. "Light them up." The manly deep voice said and the torches hanging on the wall, lights up one by one, started from the end of the place and the more the torches got lit, the place become more clearer to me and the more my heart thudded painfully and I clenched my eyes, adjusting to the light that illuminates the whole place.
"M-mom."
My eyes shot open when I heard Lucas' weak voice and my heart sank and I burst out into tears when I saw him on the floor, face badly beaten, swollen lips, black dark circle on his left eye and his shirt covered with blood.
How could they do that to a seven year old kid?! They are monsters! And what made me even more furious, was the man standing on Lucas' feet, it was Kai, wearing his cocky smirk on the corner of his lips.
