49. Happy Anniversary

"Watch out!" Jisoo yelled and just before a demon could hit me behind, she swung her arm and sliced the neck with her dagger then Nayeon appeared behind her and jumped onto Jisoo's shoulder to pull the head and rip it off. 

"Cool, thanks." I said and smiled at them. They both nodded their heads and the three of us ran into the abandoned house.

"If my wife finds out that we're not really going to Seulgi but to haunt demons, I'm dead." I said while shaking my head and wiped the blood on my dagger using the demon's skin.

"At least Jeongyeon knows, how about Chaeng?" Nayeon asked the small girl who had a frown on her face.

"She doesn't have any idea, but since you appeared at the mansion, I'm hella sure they already know it." Jisoo said, frowning.

"Of course they know, they're not dumb."

"Holy shi— Lucas?!" I exclaimed. "Have you been following us since—."

"Yes Dad, I'm sorry but I'm just scared that something unacceptable might occur again." He interrupts.

I shook my head and scrunch my nose up before I pad over to him. "Your mom probably will kill me."

"Not until I'm with you." He said smiling, as if he's so proud that he's my scapegoat for every Jennie's wrath– he's not wrong tho. And one more thing, Jennie is pregnant, I doubt she will kill me while carrying our third child. "You're not thinking of sending me home right?"

"No, you're already here." I said and turned to Nayeon and Jisoo. "Let's finish this task, Taeyang might be waiting for us."

"Are you sure that you'll bring Lucas with you?" Jisoo asked worriedly.

"We're not going to meet him in the underworld, he's out of hell and just lurking around, he has his own family and his wife is human." I said and they both nod at me.

"That explains." Nayeon said. 

We raid the whole place and haunt every demon down to find three stupid comrades who got abducted by demons and Taeyang called me for some help and now that we are down to the last room where we know that the captors and the abductees are inside.

I stepped away and lifted my foot, Jisoo and Nayeon prepared themselves, Lucas opened his palms and let his power to blind the demons so they wouldn't have the chance to attack us. As I kicked the door, the four of us stepped in and were about to kill demons but we saw nothing but three dumb assassins, they were in the center of the room, lashed to a straight-back chair by ropes. Maybe they decided not to guard these guys and we defeated all of them outside.

Everything was clear but the smell was awful. I'd had a good look at the three assassins in the light of the naked bulb hanging from the ceiling. There were bruises all over their body and I knew they got tortured, but for what reason? 

We started to untie the assassins who are now slumped, their face matted with their own blood. Bobby looked up when he felt us and he started to cry but I put my index finger in his lips to shush him.

"We're going to save you, now don't cry moron." I hissed and he nodded his head. I exhaled a giant sigh of relief, as silently as I can exhale, that hadn't been so hard except from the rotten smell stuck up on my throat and Jisoo snickers.

"Stupid." She mumbles. I started to untie Bobby and Nayeon to Jin-hwan and Jisoo to Jun-hoe. "You have to stand up." Jisoo said. "I know it's hard but you have to, you're too tall for me to carry you."

"I c-can't, they cut the back of my ankle."

"Ew! You don't have to tell me that." Jisoo grimaced and let out a sigh of frustration. "Lisa, let's change."
