"hey, jeonghan. i have a question," jisung spoke over the phone, as he wrote down his schedule for the day. he put the phone in between his shoulder and ear, and wrote quickly, knowing he has to get a move on. friday's are usually busy, figuring he has work in the morning and school in the afternoon.
jisung works at the therapy office tuesday's, friday's, and saturday's. that way he can also keep up with school. his schedule can get a bit busy, and just jotting his duties for the day can help sort out his thoughts.
"hey, 'sung! what's up?" the older asked, walking into his own office and shutting the door. he's not supposed to take personal calls during school hours, but he can't say no to jisung.
"you're a counselor at jyp high school, right?" he questioned randomly, which confused jeonghan.
"yeah, i am! i'm actually there right now, so may you please pick up the pace on this call?" he chuckled, and jisung scoffed on the other end of the line.
jisung and jeonghan met a few years back, them being neighbors. despite the few years age difference, they both bonded over them having the same career ideas for the future. and now jisung's a therapist and jeonghan's a guidance counselor at a high school.
"i was wondering, since your school is around here, do you know if a kid named lee minho attends there?" jisung fiddled his pen between his hands as he reviewed his schedule. he started getting ready for a client that comes in a few minutes, doing things like making sure the room smells nice and it's not too hot or cold.
he always makes sure his clients are in a comfortable environment. it can easy their nerves, and make them feel more at home.
jeonghan thought for a moment, leaving the call dead silent. jisung crossed his arms and bounced his knees, impatiently waiting.
"yeah, i think so. he has blonde hair, sorta tall, brown eyes?"
"that's him!" jisung cheered, "have you guys ever spoke before?"
jeonghan shook his head, even though jisung couldn't see it, "not really. i've seen him around though. i feel bad for him, he's always alone."
jisung's face fell, not liking the sound of that, "awh, poor kid."
"why were you wondering?" jeonghan checked the time, and there was a school assembly in a few minutes. if jisung doesn't hurry his ass up, he'll have to cut him off.
he can hear the younger's voice now; "you're such an ass, i hate being cut off. i hope you fall down the stairs!"
jeonghan quietly laughed to himself, knowing the younger can be pretty scary when he wants to be, despite his calm appearance.
"he's a new client of mine. and he's...different. i don't know, he just isn't like anyone i've met before. and since i can only see him once a week, i want you to make sure he's okay in school. if he seems down or something, call him to your office and see how he's doing."
jisung doesn't know why he's so invested in minho. maybe it's because he desperately tries so hard to keep his feelings to himself, and it always seems he isn't fully telling the truth. he wants to get to know him more, but it's so hard when he is a such a closed book.
"oh, yeah sure. it's no problem." jeonghan smiled. when jisung's curious about someone or something, he knows it's important. the other has an eye for spotting special things. there must be something about minho that's got him intrigued.
"listen, i got to go. i'll go over to your office tomorrow and visit. bye!"
the two ended the call, and jisung sighed satisfyingly. noticing the time, he made some last minute touches to straightening up his office, and walked out into the waiting room.
jisung smiled when he saw his first client of the day, and is ready to do his favorite thing; making people happy.
