::::
minho quietly walked into the therapy office, shutting the door with hardly making a sound. the office is usually pretty silent, the only noise is the sounds of the soft blowing noise machines and sana typing on her keyboard, probably booking appointments and sending emails.
he sat down on the same chair he usually does, waiting for jisung to walk out of his room and welcome him in. minho's gotten pretty used to these visits now, but it feels like he's hardly made any progress. but then again, he's also barley opened up to jisung.
he sighed, and right on time, the door opened. minho looked up, and was confused when jisung wouldn't open the door all the way. he just peeked his head out.
minho raised an eyebrow.
"come in," jisung waved him over, and minho suspiciously got up and walked over once he entered the room, he was surprised to see another boy standing there.
he looked about minho's age, and was slightly taller than him, hardly even by an inch. his hair was dirty blond and fell into his face, and was somewhat wavy and a bit longer than usual for a guy, but still short at the same time. he wore a white teeshirt that is tucked loosely into light blue jeans.
minho didn't recognize him, so he probably attends a different school.
the boy flashed minho a bright smile and waved, and minho shyly waved back.
"minho, this is yeosang! he's the client i have before you."
yeosang held out his hand for minho to shake, and the other hesitantly shook it, and released it fast.
"u-uh...hi," minho softly spoke, nervous to meet this new person.
"yeosang comes here because he doesn't talk to many people at school, so i act as his 'friend'. he talks to me about his week and what's going on, much like how friends do," jisung explained, and minho felt bad for him. he seems nice, and is in a similar situation as minho.
"you told me you don't have a friend at school too. so i talked to yeosang, and he said he would love to meet and become friends with you!" jisung smiled brightly, hoping minho would love the idea as much as he does.
minho nodded, not totally hating the idea. his mind just keeps filling with thoughts that are making him paranoid.
what if he ends up hating my personality? what if i drive him away like i do with everyone else?
he's gonna he scared of you.
minho shivered at the thoughts, and used all his self control to throw them out of his head.
the two sat down on the couch next to each other, yeosang getting comfortable and minho in a tight, awkward ball. he played at his sweatshirt strings, trying to distract him from the sudden anxiety he was feeling.
"so, yeosang why don't you tell minho a little about yourself?" jisung suggested, starting off the conversation.
"sure! i'm eighteen, i attend KQ high, and i love to dance!" yeosang beamed with happiness as he spoke, and it reminded minho of jeongin. how is it so coincidental that every person he talks to is so much happier than he is? it makes him feel petty and jealous.
minho's eyes raised at the mention of dancing, but decided not to say anything on it. he couldn't get the words out of his mouth.
"oh, minho don't you enjoy dancing too?" jisung then remembered, and minho nodded.
"um, y-yeah i do. i have been dancing since i was..." minho stopped and took a big breath, trying to think of the first year he started dancing. it feels like whenever he speaks he's short on breath, and has to pause every now and then to get some air. it's most likely from the nerves of speaking to someone unfamiliar.
he really doesn't want to say something wrong and mess things up.
"i think thirteen. so f-five years."
yeosang looked genuinely interested in what minho was saying, and it caused minho to relax a little. he authentically smiled.
"i also really like drawing. it's a nice way to take my mind off...things."
yeosang's jaw dropped, "i wish i could draw! i prefer to skateboard to calm down when i'm upset. it's just so peaceful, you know?"
minho perked up a bit, "i've always wanted to learn how to skateboard!"
"well, then maybe you can teach me to draw, and i'll teach you to skateboard."
minho's heart was beating inside of his chest, but in a good way. he realized he stopped stuttering, and was really enjoying talking to yeosang. his nerves slowly slipped from his body, and he was able to have a nice, comfortable conversation with someone new.
jisung observed, a sense of pride filling him. he's just proud he was able to break minho out of his comfort zone.
