"So Mason's all in his feelings?" Alana asked as she ate a bowl of ice cream on my bed.
"You eating ice cream at 10am?" I asked her as I came out of the bathroom in my underwear and moisturised my skin.
"I'm still on Martinique time, I'm adjusting." She teased and ate another spoon. "But answer the question."
I hesitated slightly, "I guess so. I don't like to talk about it because it then becomes this big thing but sometimes I just catch him looking kind of sad or just staring at me and I just want to know what's on his mind."
Alana nodded, "look I understand, it was the same for me and Paul but we got use to it. The reason we broke up wasn't distance, we were just in different places in life." She comforted.
I took out a pair of khaki trousers and a white blouse and got changed. I slicked my hair down into a middle part low bun and tied my scarf on top to lay it.
"Yeah I believe that and all but you know, it's the build up to the last day. It's all a bit dramatic right now." I admitted.
Alana shuffled in my bed and nodded as she finished off her ice cream. "Don't worry Cherie, we'll get through it."
I nodded and packed my handbag for the day. "You going to stay here?" I asked her and she nodded.
"I got some pre-seminar work to do before class on Tuesday." She said and pretended she wanted to vomit.
"I have a whole book analysis I still have to finish for Vincent's class next week." To be honest I had been enjoying myself so much these past few weeks I hadn't thought about uni at all or the assignments I had to do.
"What book did you pick?" She asked as she got further into my covers.
I rolled my eyes but laughed and put my shoes on, "The Long Song by Andrea Levy."
She nodded, "of course, you only went on about that book for like months in our first year."
I laughed, "because it's a great book!" I exclaimed.
"Whatever, enjoy analysing it." She teased and turned on my tv.
I blew her a kiss, and took off my scarf, "bisous." I said as I headed for the door.
"Bisous." She said and I closed the door behind me. I smiled as I saw Mason's door, he'd gone out with Isaiah real early this morning and I hadn't seen him since but he'd text me this morning.
I headed for the front door and smiled at Steve as he entered the garage and pulled my car round. I took jumped in and strapped myself in as I whizzed out the front and headed for the private road. I played my favourite playlist on Spotify as I sang along and made my way to West London.
I whistled as I thought about leaving all this behind again and I text Mason to see if he was free this afternoon to go somewhere with me later. Around half an hour later I pulled up to the large brown gates and buzzed in through the intercom.
I parked closest to the door and hopped out and took my bag.
"Back again Ms Williams?" Charles smiled behind his desk as he typed in my information.
"Its my last week here Charles, I have to come and say bye to my daddy." I said sadly.
"Not to worry, he'll be out soon anyway." Charles comforted and I nodded.
I stepped through the metal detector and scanned my items. Once I was all clean I headed to the cafeteria where my dad sat waiting for me with a cup of coffee.
