Izuku's Hidden Quirk

Chapter 6

I DONT OWN MY HERO ACADEMIA OR ITS CHARACTERS SO DONT SUE ME OR ANYTHING

Izuku's P.O.V

I see my mom walk into the hospital looking around the lobby expecting to see a green haired boy but not seeing one. She goes up to a person who works here and asks her something. My best guess is that she's asking where I am. The lady points to me but my mom  doesn't believe her when she looks. I guess she wasn't told about my physical changes. She then turns back to the same lady and says something else but the lady just shrugs and gives a look saying "that's all I know". Since the lady can't do anything else, I decide I should help. I walk over and I signal to the lady that she can go now.

I then say to my mom, "Mom, it really is me. I can explain everything, so let's go someplace where we won't bother the people here."

She says, "Okay, but you better not be lying about yourself. Your explanation better make sense."

"I think it will make complete sense. You already know that I want to be a hero like All Might and that I was training. I was attacked and my hidden quirk saved me but I passed out for a month and ended up looking like this." I say.

"So it was all your quirk? It all make sense now! That news is great! You can finally be the hero you wanted to be! Do you know what it is?" She says.

"No, the quirk doctor there was busy, the people there said he would be free tomorrow. All I know is that it's related to fire and these animal parts I have." I say, pointing to my ears and then turning around to show her my tail.

"But why are you so small? You don't look your age at all!" She asks me.

"I don't know why, maybe because the animal parts I have came from a small animal?" I say.

"But have you looked at yourself? You look so cute now! You're tiny and your hair and skin match that!" She says.

"You really think that? I never really thought of it that way." I say.

"Well let's go home, it's time for dinner anyways." She says.

"Okay! We can talk more there." I say.

We go home and mom makes dinner for me and when I finish eating, she sits down across me and says, "So now we can plan everything, right?"

"Yeah." I say.

"Well, first of all, since you don't have any other clothes besides the ones on you right now, we'll have to shopping tomorrow. I'll have to measure your height since we can't try on any clothes there because of your tail. I can't wait to get you all your cute outfits!" She says.

"No! We can get all the normal clothes but no cute outfits!" I say.

"Can we get just one?" She pleads.

"Fine, but only one." I say, fearing what kind of embarrassing outfit I'll have to wear.

"Also, your name doesn't match you anymore. If you want to, we can go change it sometime." She says.

"I would love to do that! Do I get to choose my name or is it your decision?" I say.

"I'll let you choose, I would probably make it a super cute name and embarrass you." She says.

"Thank you, I'll think about possible names." I say.

"Lastly, I'll schedule your appointment for with the quirk doctor so you'll definitely get your answers to your quirk related questions." She says.

"Thank you!!!" I say, excited for the appointment already.

It got pretty late, so we went to bed. I kept my clothes, since it was the only ones that I had. I wonder what name I should use. I don't want it to be too different, because it'll be difficult to get used to that. I'll make it start with an "I" for sure. I guess I'll throw in the "zu" too, so I can tell that it's my name. Hmmmmm, "Izu"... It could be "Izuki", "Izuchi", or "Izumi". I like those names the best. "Izuki" sounds too much like "Izuku" so I'll take that out. I don't really like "Izuchi" as I like "Izumi" so I think I'll ask mom to rename me "Izumi". I hope she likes the name too.

~Time Skip ~

Finally! Quirk doctor day!!! Oh wait, it's shopping for clothes first. Why does shopping have to be so boring??????? It's either going to be really boring or really embarrassing for me. I really shouldn't have given mom the opportunity to choose a cute outfit for me. At least I'll have some normal outfits. I hope they have whatever my size is. Speaking of my size... I feel like I grew a little. I grab my tape measure that I have and measured myself. Sure thing, I'm now 3'9". I guess my quirk overdid it and my body decided to "fight back" and grew more. My body parts still look the same though, only my height changed. I hope I don't grow tomorrow because I'll have to get more clothes again.

~ Tiny time skip ~

After I finished shopping for clothes and convincing mom to make me try on only 3 of her cute outfits instead of 10, it was finally time for the appointment with the quirk doctor. Mom and I went to the hospital and sat in the lobby to wait for our names to be called. I remember that I hadn't told her what I wanted my name to be so I decide to tell her now.

"Mom? Remember how you let me choose a new name?" I say.

She responds, "Yes, did you come up with name already?"

"Yeah, I decided on 'Izumi'. Do you like it?" I ask.

"Of course I do, it's a great name!" She says.

"Really? What do you like about it?" I ask.

She smiles and says,"Well, I think it's really cute!"

Of course thats what she's thinking about. Not even anything about how it's similar to my original name. I bet she didn't even think of that. I don't feel like telling her, so I just have to hope that she realizes it when she says it out loud or writes it down.

"Izuku Midoriya, you're next!"

Yes! It's finally time to see the quirk doctor!

"Mom lets go!" I say, getting excited.

"All right, just calm down, you'll scare the quirk doctor away." She says.

"Fine, just hurry up, I can't wait much longer!" I say pulling on her arm.

"Don't worry, I'm going." She says, laughing and walking with me.
