Izuku's Hidden Quirk

Chapter 7

Izuku's P.O.V

We follow the person to a room labeled "Quirks". I guess it's for everything about quirks, from finding out what it is, to any problems with it. We enter the room and see some chairs there facing a person I think is the quirk doctor sitting in another chair. I look around and see a bunch of instruments and machines that I don't recognize. We sit down in the chairs and the person that led us here leaves and closes the door. The guy in front of us waved and says, "Hello, I am your quirk doctor. I assume we are going to be performing testing on the little girl right?"

My mom replies, "Yes, when she was 4, we were told that her quirk was a hidden quirk but recently, it has been activated and we would like to know what it is."

"Do you have any idea what it is related to or what it does?" He asks.

"All we know is that it has something to do with fire and that it turned Izuku here from a boy to what she looks like now." She says.

"All right, can I have the daughter come with me to the machines to perform the tests?" He says.

"Sure, go on Izuku." She says.

I go to the quirk doctor and he leads me to multiple machines where he uses his instruments and then prints out the data. Once we finish with all the tests, he says to us, "I have all the data I need, I'll go evaluate the results and then I'll come back to tell you both about it.", and then he goes through the door which I think leads to an office.

"So how were the tests?" My mom asks me.

"They didn't hurt much, but there was one which made me a little bit itchy but it wasn't too bad." I say, sitting down.

"You're good with thinking about things, what do you think your quirk is?" She asks me.

"I honestly have no idea except that it's a fire type quirk. Everything I know just complicates it more." I say. It's true, if all I knew was that it made the column of fire, it would have been easier. All the facts I know just complicate it. Why did I pass out for 1 month? Why did I switch genders? Why the animal parts? Why am I tiny? It all makes no sense to me.

"What do you think it is?" I ask my mom.

"I think it's a cuteness quirk with fire for self defense!" My mom says.

"I don't think that's it." I say. Where did that idea come from? I think she's obsessed with me being cute now that I look like this. I hope she can tone it down a little though.

The quirk doctor suddenly comes back into the room and sits down.

He says, "Here are the results I've come up with based on what you told me and the data from the tests. I've determined the quirk to be a very interesting fire type quirk. The quirk is control over fire and I believe some fox abilities. I would call this 'Supreme Flame Fox'."

"Fox?" My mom says.

"Yes, I've determined that part of her DNA is Fox DNA. I believe that her quirk tried to turn her completely into a fox but couldn't. There may be a possibility that she could be able to have control over wether she wants to look like a fox or a human." He says.

"And what do you mean by 'Supreme'?" I ask.

"Here, 'Supreme' means that your quirk is exceptionally powerful. Right now you only have one tail. Over time, you will get up to nine tails, each tail giving you more power. If there was another quirk like yours, but it wasn't 'Supreme', it would probably just be fire, with no physical changes at all, probably no transforming power too."

"Really?!" My mom and I say at the same time.

"Yes, it's all on this paper here. Take it so you can go over it later." He says, handing over the paper.

"Thank you so much!" My mom says, taking the paper and putting it away.

"You can go now, there is no reason for me to keep you here any longer." He says.

"We'll be going! Thank you again!" My mom says. We both get up and walk out of the hospital and to the car where she gives me the paper and we go home.

~Tiny Time Skip~

We get home and I remember about cleaning up the beach. I ask my mom about it and she lets me go "train". I think that I could train my quirk there too, There's water if anything goes out of control.

~Another Tiny Time Skip~

Arriving at the beach I suddenly realize that my arms and legs are really thin compared to what I looked like before. I pull on a fridge to see how weak my arms are but surprisingly, it seems that I didn't get any weaker. How does that work? My muscles got "compressed"? That doesn't make sense but it's the only way I can describe it. I move around trash until time is up and then I get close to the water to practice me quirk. If my tail is a special tail, maybe that's where the fire comes from? I close my eyes and focus on the tip of my tail and when I open my eyes, I see a small fireball on it. I try moving my tail and the fireball stays on it. I try throwing it and it goes off my tail but doesn't go far. I try it again but the same thing happens. I do it one more time but this time, I focus more on the fireball when I throw it and it goes much farther and lands in the ocean. This is so cool! I can do so many things with fireballs! I wonder if I can control where it goes if I get enough practice. I can't wait to figure out what else I can do. I think that I can turn into a fox? I think of a fox and try to make something happen but nothing does. This is going to harder than I thought. I'm going to have to change my schedule a bit to include training my quirk. I practice the fireball thing a few more times and then go home.

At dinner, I feel that I still get as hungry as I did before when I see all the food. I eat like I've been starved for a week and my mom sees me with my mouth full and says I look cute when my mouth is full. I sigh and finish eating my food. I go to bed in my new clothes and think of how I need to be ready for the U.A entrance exam in a month. I hope I can get both get All Might's attention and train my quirk in a month. I already know I'm going to have a tough schedule but hopefully, it will all be worth it in the end.
