[3 days after Anna's death]

Christmas. Usually one of the most festive days of the year, right? People get together with their family, eat, pray, whatever your traditions are.

Well, this year, some people didn't have a family. Amy Benson, Anna's mom, was just sitting at her house, watching the ABC Christmas specials when she heard a knock on the door.

Amy went to the door, surprised to see Brandon and Hanna Dawson.

"Hi, Brandon and Hanna," Amy politely greeted. "Merry Christmas."

It was kind of hard acting happy when you had nobody left. David had walked out on Amy the day after Anna's (and the new baby's) death.

"Hi Mrs. Benson," Brandon replied.

"Hello, Amy. So, Brandon and I are going to church, and coming back for a Christmas dinner, with just the two of us, and we were wondering if you would like to join. The prayers at church start in thirty minutes."

Amy thought about it. She had never really been to church since her childhood. Then, she realized something. Brandon's dad, Hanna's husband, Steven. He wasn't going with them.

"I would love to go. But what about Steven?" Amy asked, hoping it didn't sound rude.

"He... he passed when Brandon was in Los Angeles," Hanna responded, sounding slightly like she was about to cry. "It's why I couldn't stay with him."

"I'm so sorry for your loss," Amy said, shaking her head and looking down. "Would you like to come in and have something to eat? I'll go get ready."

That Christmas, Amy felt blessed to have a family, or something like it.

Saturday, December 27, 2014 [5 days after Anna's Death]

Brandon looked at himself in the mirror. He double and triple checked. He was wearing the suit which had always been Anna's favorite on him.

He wanted to make sure that everything was perfect for her funeral. She had a pretty bad life, so the least they could do was give her an okay funeral.

Brandon and Amy had planned the funeral together. She wasn't actually such a bad person after having a miscarriage and losing an already alive child on the same day.

Brandon hoped that when he died, and him and Anna crossed paths, (they had always planned on crossing paths after death) she wouldn't be mad at him for inviting Jackie, and all of 5 Seconds of Summer (except for Ashton, who had been arrested the day after Anna's death).

Brandon took a look at himself in he mirror again, but this time he focused on his face. His tear stained, pale skinned, face.

He had always been self- conscious. He had never told anyone, but he had always hated the way he looked. He also had anxiety. That was why he always bit his nails. He had the medication, but he only started taking it after Anna died. Anna probably knew, but she loved him anyways. And now was his last chance to show her how much he loved her back. Even though he had a girlfriend.

Overall, the funeral ended up going pretty well. It was pretty depressing. Even though Anna barely had anybody left, there were a lot of people who came for her, who had known Anna before she changed. Brandon, Jackie, Michael, and Amy made speeches. Brandon wasn't even going to lie, he was crying. Not even crying- more like waterfalls pouring from his eyes. He just still couldn't believe she was gone. Every night Brandon went to bed hoping that the next morning he would wake up to a call from none other than Anna, but sadly, that never happened. When they turned Anna, beautiful, yet so sad, known, yet so mysterious, into ashes, Brandon finally came to the realization that she was gone. Forever.
