New reality

General pov:
"I love you Barry..." she said then paused "but not in that way. you are my best friend and I don't want to ruin our friendship. I'm not going to say I don't completely having feelings for you in that way because I do just not strong enough for this... us? to happen not yet" she said then frowned. "i'm sorry" she said softly "it's ok you being my friend is good enough, for now anyway... when you are ready to take things to another level and be my girlfriend that will be great. for now take all the time you need to think things through" he said and smiled trying not to show he was actually slightly hurt . She smiled back at him at this moment Joe walked in "Barry. you wanted to tell me something?" Joe asked Barry, "I'll leave you two to talk" she said and walked out.
"did you finally tell Caitlin how you feel?" he asked "how did-" he got cut off by Joe's laugh "you think I didn't notice how you had goo goo eyes on her ever since that night. You are like my son so of course I noticed" he said "well she's not ready to be my girlfriend yet" he sighed
"i'm sorry Barr, is that what you wanted to tell me?" he asked. Barry couldn't bring himself to tell him a girl died because of him so Barry agreed and smiled.

Iris's pov: I couldn't decide what to do but I knew if I ignored Barry it would be bad but I didn't  want to lose my husband. I went on my phone a to see what times trains would leave for Starling City. I would just stay at a motel for a few days until I made up my mind.
"Caitlin!" I said quickly turning my phone off and setting it down "are you ok? You look kinda upset" I asked.
She sighed "I just kissed Barry..." she said quietly "oh my goodness!!! That's great" I said excited but she didn't seem that way "is that a good or bad thing?" I ask confused.
"I mean I have feelings for him but I don't know if I'm ready for another relationship" she said I sighed. "I have a great idea!" I said she looked at me confused "we can both go to visit Starling City for a few days. You figure your Barry stuff I'll figure out what to do with my Eddie situation" I smiled. "I don't know" she said "come on it'll be fun" i whined.
She laughed "ok fine" I said "ok well the last train to Star City leaves in an hour so we need to pack our stuff and meet at the train" I said
"What if the team needs us?" She asked "Jackson and Skylar can help Barry out and if they need us then either one of them can run us back. But we can't tell anyone we are leaving until we get there" I said she nods.
"Ooh a secret" My dad says at the door "how much of that did-" Caitlin asked he cut her off "enough to understand... now you two get going. I won't tell anyone but if they need you then I'll tell them, deal?" He asked "deal" we both say. "Bye dad" I said grabbing Caitlin's wrist and running out of Star Labs "bye Joe" Caitlin said from a distance. I heard him chuckle and as the elevator opened we heard Barry say something "oh I don't know where they went" I heard my dad said as the elevator door closed. I took my phone out and sent my dad a thumbs up and smiling face emoji.
