Back at the house Alec, Magnus, Cassidy and Max were waiting all anxious for the news and both Alec and Magnus paled once it was revealed. "They want to use them" Alec said angrily pacing the living room. "What did you do in the rune assessment room?" Clary asked. "They made me read an old rune book except none of these runes are in the current grey book" Will said and Willow agreed. "Could you read it?" Clary and Jace asked; both kids shook their heads yes. "Rae you could read them as well?" Clary asked shocked. Other than her exceptional fighting skills she never really shown any rune related gifts. "I always can, even when you guys come up with new ones it's like I immediately know what they are for; even if you don't." she whispered. Clary rushed upstairs and came back with her sketch book flipping frantically through the pages before handing it to her daughter. "I've been drawing that too" Will said the moment he laid eyes on it but Willow looked afraid. "Rae what's wrong?" Jace said wrapping an arm around her shoulders while she stared at the symbol. "This isn't from an angel, it's demonic. This symbol is used to bind a dead soul to a living host essentially bringing the dead to life again" she flipped the page and it held the same rune but then she noticed subtle differences.

"I messed up on that one"

"You didn't mom, it's another rune. See how the lines are softer and the edges are rounded off instead of jagged. This one releases the soul from the body" she said in wonderment. A knock at the door startled them; they were shocked to see Fin and Luca at the door asking if Will wanted to go to a party they'd been invited to later that night and after inviting extending that to the others they rushed to get ready.

Jocelyn wore black leggins with a long tank top and a leather jacket with boots that stopped at her knee with six inch stillettos; he was about as tall as her mother with a slightly curvier figure. Willow was average height but had really long legs. She was taller than Clary but nit as tall as her brother and father unless she wore heels. Rae wore a pair of short blue jeans shorts with a army green tank and a sweatshirt that stopped at her bust; her green and black striped socks covered her knees and she wore black high top converses. Jocelyn wore a high ponytail while Willow simply braided a loose braid over her shoulder. "Your hair has officially passed your ass when are you cutting it?" Jay asked putting on mascara. Rae only rolled her eyes, she loved her hair no matter how irritating it could be. When they got downstairs everyone was already there and waiting including Luca and Fin. They headed to the abandoned manor where the party was being held and the girls couldn't help but notice Luca and Fin staring as the group as they laughed and talked amongst themselves. Will eventually left the girls and caught up to them, other than his dad and Jon, Alec and Max there were no other guys in the institute but he never minded. "You can join us if you like, they don't bite" Will said looking back at the girls. "We've never really had anyone but each other, there were other people our age in the institute back home but they weren't fond of us. They eventually went off to the academy but our mother insisted that she train us herself; then she died five years ago" Fin said quietly. "Will carry me" Jay whined.

"No one told you to wear those shoes; take them off"

"carry me pleasssse" he laughed at her complaining. Fin hung back and walked next to her and she realized he was much taller than she'd thought. The twins were about 5' 11", smooth pale skin with dark brown hair. Luca's hair reached just below his ears and was curly and messy kinda like Jace while Fin had short hair with messy spikes at the top; they had really soft features with wide eyes the color of caramel. "I'll carry you" Fin asked taking a shot in the dark and Jay surprised everyone when she agreed and hopped on his back. After about twenty more minutes they'd arrived at a huge house on the outskirts of Alicante, they could hear the music from outside and a few wasted patrons were hanging outside. "No fighting Rae!" Will turned and stared at his sister who smiled innocently making him shake his head. Inside the crowd was lighter than they'd expected everyone was impressed that the Herondale and Morgenstern children decided to join them and swarmed them instantly. They were offered drinks but declined and only made them themselves, Jay and Rae drank and danced with each other next to Will and Cass who of course were trying to swallow each others tonsils. A couple of guys interrupted grabbing them around the waist pulling them apart. "What the hell do you think you're doing!" Jocelyn snapped and Rae just looked pissed. William and Cass went to their sides watching the commotion. "Don't be a bitc" the boy never finished because Rae punched him in the mouth then downed her drink and turned back to Jocelyn who was laughing uncontrollably. The boy got up and went to grab at her again but before Will could act Luca was there twisting his arm behind his back. "If I were you I would keep my hands to myself" he screamed mangling his arm. The other ran at Luca but he knocked him back into a speaker never releasing the first boy's arm. He swiftly kicked him in the ribs and turned to see everyone watching him including Rae. "I could have handled that" she said with a smug grin. "Oh I know, but your brother did say no fighting" he shot back winking before grabbing her empty cup. "I'll get you a refill" mouthed retreating into the crowd that had resumed dancing. "He likes you" Jay said in her ear while they danced. "And he isn't scared of you which is a plus" she continued. Luca returned with her cup she grabbed it and nodded in thanks but he grabbed her arm and spun her into his chest. "Since I got you a drink you have to dance with me" he whispered into her ear. She shrugged and threw an arm over his shoulder and swayed with the music. A little after midnight the crowd had thinned and they decided to head back since they had the Clave meeting later that day. "Where's Jay?" Will asked panicked and they spread out looking for her. Cass found her sitting outside with Fin having a moment "we're leaving" Cass said after clearing her throat and telling them to meet her out back. Jocelyn groaned loudly and stood on her wobbly feet "damn these shoes" she muttered as the heel sank into the now soggy dirt. To her surprise Fin picked her up like she weighed nothing and flung her onto his back; she rested her chin in his hair. "Thanks Fin"

"Anytime" He walked her around back where Will was drawing a portal "What is he doing?" Luca asked curiously. "Drawing us a portal home" he slurred focusing on the symbols. "Shadowhunters can't conjure portals" Fin said watching closely. "He is the son of Clarissa Herondale you ass" Luca snickered. "If my mother ever hears you call her Clarissa she'll behead you" Rae laughed. Will finished and Rae jumped through dragging Luca with her and everyone else followed suit landing in the training room of the house. "Good thinking sending us to the training room Rae" Cass said slipping off her shoes. "There's an extra room for you guys or I could draw you a portal, think of where you wanna go then jump in" Will asked Fin and Luca. "Would your parents mind?"

"Why is everyone terrified of our parents" Jocelyn shook her head and grabbed Fin and Willow grabbed Luca. Cass and Will went to their room leaving the London twins with Willow and Jocelyn who were standing in front of a spare room. Rae watched happily as Fin and Jay whispered to one another, they hadn't really dated anyone; once guys heard their last names it was instant fear, and dating a mundane was out of the question for someone of their stature. "Do you need me to tuck you in?" Luca asked slyly twirling her braid around in his fingers. "No thanks I got it" a voice said making the twins jump. Jocelyn and Willow only laughed as Jonathan emerged from a dark corner smiling. Luca dropped Rae's hair and Fin backed into his brother the both had wide fearful eyes. Jonathan put an arm around both girls and kissed their heads "it's nearly one and training is at 5" he reminded them. "Late start" Rae smiled sweetly at her uncle hugging his waist. "Daddy please" Jay whined hugging his neck. "Fine eight, the two of you included" he said flicking his eyes over to the Cartwright twins. He kissed them again and turned to go back to his room "Go to bed you two... alone" he called and they all heard the door shut. The boys exhaled loudly and Luca smiled brightly "did Jonathan Morgenstern just invite us to train with him" he asked his brother excitedly. "We better go to bed, we smell like we've been drinking so he gonna try to kill us tomorrow" Rae groaned. "Uncle Jace is always trying to kill us" Jay added waving goodbye and going into her room. Rae turned to leave too but Luca caught her arm and pulled her into a soft sweet kiss "goodnight Willow" he whispered and went into his room. Someone gasped and Rae turned to see Jocelyn blushing "don't you dare" Rae blushed and ran into her room locking the door behind her. Willow had never really thought about boys; other than the men in her family she saw them as weak; and once they saw her fight or heard her last name they were afraid of her. She thought about Luca who'd not only watched her destroy her opponents but knew exactly who her family was and still boldly kissed her. Feeling some type of way she stripped and climbed into bed staring into the darkness. "Rae are you asleep" Jocelyn's voice rang out in her head. "no" (J- Jocelyn/ R- Willow or Rae)

J- "I don't like this feeling... Fin makes me feel"

R- "I know, me too. I've kissed boys before but nothing ever made me feel like that"

J- "Like what"

R- "Alive"
