"They're back, there have been reported sightings of both Valentine and Sebastian in London and Prague and the amount of demonic activity has drastically increased" she announced pacing the floor. They exchanged glances "Valentine is dead, I saw him die!" Clary screamed. "We are checking into every source but until these allegations are either confirmed or denied the four of you are to remain in the institute, especially you Clary" Maryse ordered before hurrying from the room. Jocelyn rushed to her daughter's side "Clary where is your brother?" she asked with a fearful expression. "A safe house in Prague, we were all just there" Clary whispered. "You have to warn him, tell him to choose another location but not London" her mother ordered; Clary nodded swiftly. "Maryse is leaving to return to Idris tonight, she asked Luke and I to stay here and keep an eye on you all, Magnus you're welcomed to stay too. If Valentine is somehow alive we'll have to stick together" Jocelyn continued on and Clary was amazed at her fearlessness. When they were dismissed everyone went to Isabelle's room since it was the biggest to plan on their own. "If Valentine is alive then he'll look for Jonathan first then Clary and Jace after." Magnus pointed out. "He should come back to New York" Alec added shocking everyone. "Him staying in any of Valentine's safe houses will make him that much easier for Valentine to find. Neither Valentine nor the Clave will think to look for him here"

"It can't be in the institute because Valentine will look for us... he'd find us all in one place" Jace interrupted. "He can go to my house, there are wards to keep out unwanted guest and someone will need to feed Chairman Meow" It was settled and they were all slightly relieved, they decided not to tell anyone else of their plan. Hungry they went to Takis and sat at their booth in the back and ordered quickly to be left alone. They spent the afternoon going down the list of unfortunate events that had taken place over the past few years other than Valentine and Sebastian they had no real enemies. With the spike in demonic activity they planned on going hunting that night. Alec and Magnus went by their apartment to grab some clothes and be sure the wards were intact for Jonathan's arrival and Clary Jace and Izzy reached the institute a surprise waited for them. Sitting in the curb in front of the institute was Simon. "Clary!" he screamed jumping up and pulling her into a hug. "Simon what the hell?" Clary asked pulling away. "You can't remember me, you're not supposed to remember" she said rubbing her temples. "I don't know, lately I've been seeing horrible things and having weird dreams... I remembered you and I somehow ended up here." he concluded. "Isabelle" he said noticing the tall girl with dark hair. Even with her back turned he knew it was her, the girl from his dreams. "You know who I am" she asked never turning around. "Not really" he sulked "but I want to remember you" he added. Isabelle turned and ran inside with Clary following leaving Jace and Simon confused; Alec and Magnus appeared both shocked to see Simon but showed him in. They took him to a spare room and Magnus put him to sleep and poked around in his head. "I don't know for sure what's happening but his memory is slowly returning. I can't say it'll ever fully come back but he's getting bits and pieces"

"Why can he see us? and the Institute when he couldn't before" Jace asked. "When he was a vampire he'd drunk your blood which made him a daylighter, and if you think he and Isabelle hadn't been playing biting games you're both delusional. When his heart was restarted he was full of the blood of shadowhunters"

"Simon is a shadowhunter now!?!" Alec screamed. Magnus nodded leaving the room "Izzy!" Alec shouted leaving the room but was stopped by Jace. "Clary is with her, trust me that is one conversation you'll want to steer clear of" he said dragging him away. Izzy was laid across the bed with her head in Clary's lap, her heart stopped when she saw Simon, she was very surprised but the only real emotion she felt was pity. "Is it bad that I don't want him to remember" Izzy asked looking up at Clary who shook her head no. "This isn't just about Jonathan. If remembers he'll want to try and fix it and he can't; he'll be heart broken and i don't want to hurt him Clary. He doesn't deserve it" she cried. "I don't want him to remember. He was finally safe, happy; if he remembers his life like ours will always be in danger, I don't want that for him." Clary revealed. There was a knock at the door and Jocelyn poked her head inside asking to come in. She sat down and put an arm around both crying girls and told them that Simon was now a shadowhunter and would began training with Luke, learn history from Magnus and asked Clary to help him with runes. After the tears stopped Clary was shocked when her mother asked her to leave so that she could talk to Isabelle but she did as asked and went to find Jace. "I know this is hard for you, and Maryse isn't exactly the comforting type but you can always talk to me Isabelle" she said extending her arms and pulling her into a hug stroking her hair. "What do I do Jocelyn?" Izzy sobbed. "It's like Simon stood knocking on the door to my heart until it opened and Jonathan walked straight through to my soul like there was no door at all... I don't want to hurt Simon but I love Jonathan" she cried. When Jocelyn left Izzy stayed in her room flipping through the pictures she'd taken of her and Jonathan together in Prague. Seeing his face made her heart skip beats and she realized then that hiding would get her no where. Right now Simon wasn't quite sure who she was so she'd just introduce herself as his friend... that's all they could ever be. Jonathan grabbed a bag and gathered Isabelle's things to take with him to the new safe house, he had clothes in all the houses so he only packed her things. Clary and Jocelyn had called and told him that Valentine may have been alive and that he'd been spotted so now both the clave and his father would be looking from him. Clary had also told him that he could come back to New York and stay at Alec and Magnus apartment but he had other plans. He had to find the other moving house, Clary had destroyed one but there was another; he didn't know which one it was.
