Happy Birthday

Willow woke up and smiled at the sight of Luca and Lauryn sleeping, they were so much alike it was comical. Both of them slept with their mouths slightly open and their hands balled into fist; if they were really tired they snored softly; she eased from the bed to shower. Luca stretched and eased his arm from under Lauryn's head noticing Willow was gone but heard rummaging in the closet. She came out fully dressed in sweats and a tank pulling her wet hair into a messy ponytail and motioned for him to follow her. "What set Ryn off like that?" he asked while they walked toward the kitchen. "We've been keeping her busy to burn off the access energy" he added. Red crept across her face thinking about what Emily had told Rae and she could hardly keep herself from running to Emily's room and strangling her while she told Luca what Lauryn had said. When she finished his face was white and he sat speechless; out of nowhere he jumped from his seat and sprinted out of the kitchen toward Emily's room "Luca stop!" Willow screamed on his heels. They nearly knocked down Clary and Isabelle who were coming into the kitchen but followed them along with Jocelyn and Fin who came out of their room because of the noise. "Open this fucking door Emily" he screamed after finding it locked. "What's with the noise!" Alroy asked sticking his head out of his door. "Open it or I swear I'll kick it in!" Luca continued now pounding on the door; seconds later it swung open. He grabbed her shoulders forcefully shoving her against the wall causing alarm. "Stay away from me, stay away from Willow and stay the hell away from my daughter! If you ever come near Lauryn again I'll rip your fucking head off" he screamed at her. Emily was trembling and tears fell in streams "What about our daughter or son Luca! Don't you care about us"

"I've never cared about you, I will never care about you... you were nothing more than a distraction from my grief of losing Rae. IF that kid turns out to mine then so be it but as of right now just stay away from my family Emily" he growled and stormed off leaving everyone but Willow in a state of confusion as to what had happened. Willow checked on Ryn who was still sleeping then walked in on a string of obscenities in the kitchen. Simon, Jace and Jonathan had returned from decorating for Lauryn's party that night and Luca had told them why he'd acted the way he had. "She has to go. I love you to pieces Simon you know that, we all do but she has to go" Clary said trembling with anger. Jonathan had tucked Isabelle under his arm to stop her from running to Emily's room and even Magnus's eyes had turned a deep red. "Aye look who's awake!" Alroy screamed coming into the kitchen holding Ryn's hand. "Happy Birthday Lauryn!" everyone creamed out together hugging and kissing all over her saving her parents for last; they smashed her between them. "What do you want for your birthday Ryn" Luca asked realizing this was his first birthday with her. Her smile faded and she stared at the floor blushing tears resting on the brim of her eyes. "Ryn what's wrong?" Luca asked lifting her chin. "I just want to stay here... I want you and mommy to be happy again so that we can live here" the innocence of her wish only made everyone angrier and it didn't help when Emily walked into the kitchen. "We are happy Rae, you make everyone happy" Willow answered first. "Lauryn I love you very much, more than my own life and I would be very very sad if you and your mommy left" she smiled at that kissing them both on the cheek. Emily stared at the trio and began rubbing her belly with tears in her eyes and they fell when Alroy kissed Lauryn's hair and said he was leaving with Simon, Melanie, Jocelyn and Fin to go get her something for her birthday. "Emily" Clary interrupted her thoughts and she could tell she was upset but when she opened her mouth to continue nothing came out she just slapped her across the face and left the kitchen Isabelle followed. "What you said to my granddaughter was horrible and inexcusable" Jace said with fire in his eyes. "You are no longer apart of the circle" he added and left the kitchen. "We won't make you leave but only because you're pregnant and that child's father is someone here but you will be moving to the west wing of the institute with the trainees" Jonathan spat and he too left. "Dad"

"You did this to yourself Emily... I'll help you move your stuff" Simon cut her off and walked away. Luca, Willow and Lauryn spent the afternoon at the zoo and Ryn loved every second of it, her favorite animals were the reptiles. They ate and got ice cream before returning home to let Ryn sleep before the party later. After putting her to bed they went to the common room that had been cleared out and decorated in pink, black and purple; there was a table in the corner filled with gifts and another filled with pictures of her growing up and a few of her with the family since they'd come back including a big one of Willow, Luca and Lauryn together. Ava, Camille and the others from the London Institute arrived a few hours before the party and they were more than excited to meet Lauryn. Simon, Melanie and the others returned with boxes bigger than Lauryn arguing over who's gift she would like more, Clary and Jace cooked and Isabelle bought her a cake. Willow dressed Ryn in a pink dress with three quarter sleeves and a pink and purple tutu, black tights and ballerina flats but left her curls hanging free around her face. Willow wore deep purple jeggings with flat thigh high boots and a sheer black blouse with her hair in a messy bun; Luca just wore all black refusing to wear something pink or purple. "Where are we going now?" Lauryn asked as they led her to the common and she screamed in delight when everyone surprised her. Even the trainees had shown up along with Tessa and Jem. There weren't any children her age but she didn't seem to mind, Tessa said she had an old soul taking a instant liking to her; they talked and laughed constantly commenting on how much she looked like her parents. The atmosphere got a little dense when Eric had asked about Emily and everyone couldn't believe the condensed version of the story given when Willow said she wasn't invited. They ate, had cake and Lauryn took pictures with everyone but the family photo of Luca, Willow and Lauryn in the party colors was everyone's favorite.

She sat with the biggest smile while opening her gifts; Isabelle and Jonathan had bought her enough clothes to last her a lifetime, Clary and Jace got her a steele and a set of throwing knives... Clearly Jace's idea. William and Cassidy got her a keyboard and some sheet music, she nearly cried over that; Fin and Jocelyn brought her an easel and a huge art supply kit, she hit the roof at the sight of that one. Simon got her a charm bracelet. When it was Alec and Magnus's turn Magnus sat her on his lap and told her she could have anything she wanted, she thought for a moment then leaned in whispering in his ear and he burst into laughter. His fingers started glowing bright yellow and a large aquarium appeared with a dry land habitat "Magnus what is that for?" Willow asked but he only smiled. There was a collective gasp when a baby Caramel Burmese python appeared in the tank. "Magnus!" Alec yelled in disbelief at what he had just done. "Why would give a python to a five year old"

"I told her anything she wanted if I had said no that would make me liar" Magnus shrugged. The snake poised and struck at the glass repeatedly "Mags get that thing out of here, it's gonna break the glass." Willow screamed. "No she's mine!" Lauryn yelled scrambling off Magnus's knee and running over to the case. Luca went to grab her but stopped when he noticed her orange eyes, Ryn stared at it for a moment and it stopped hitting the glass and they watched in awe when she traced a finger over the glass and the snake followed before finally settling down. "The yelling was scaring her" she grinned and her eyes returned to their brownish green color. "Do you really think I would have done it if I thought she would get hurt" Magnus feigned hurt. Alroy gave her a silver ring; it had a heart with a small emerald diamond in the corner and the letter L engraved in the center which she loved. Luca and Willow were last and they gave her a silver locket with her name on the front and inside was the very first picture the three of them had taken together. The rest of the night went by smoothly, the trainees were sent away once Willow and Luca took Lauryn to bed with the exception of Miley after Max practically begged his father and uncle to let her stay and William and Cassidy also turned in early; Jem and Tessa portaled back to London after saying their goodbyes. With Lauryn and the trainees gone Magnus produced wine and they relaxed recalling old memories and discussing Fin and Jocelyn's upcoming wedding plans. Willow was the maid of honor and Luca the best man, they wanted a small wedding with nothing but family and the few friends that were present for Ryn's party. They drank and laughed all night (minus Max and Miley of course) together and finally went their separate ways around one after making sure that Miley made her way back to the west wing with a message for the others that they could have a day off tomorrow. Luca walked a few steps behind Rae and was surprised when she went into his room instead of the spare she had been sleeping in. She fumbled through her drawer so he decided to take a shot in the dark. "So, was last night just about comforting Ryn or have you forgiven me" Luca whispered in Willow's ear; he pressed her back to his chest then snaked his arms around her waist placing small kisses along her neck. She spun around and kissed him deeply winding her fingers in his hair then pulled away "If there's a next time I'll kill you" she grinned resuming the kiss; a moan escaped him as he released her hair letting it cascade down her back. "I'll let you" he breathed when Rae broke the kissed to rip his shirt over his head. He swiftly undid the buttons of her shirt and slid it over her shoulders kissing her neck and shoulders, they kicked of their shoes and shed their pants before stumbling over to the bed. His fingers were like feathers tickling her skin when he caressed every inch of her, he rubbed the tension from her back and trailed kisses down her spine after undoing her bra. They were slick from sweating after shedding the remainder of their clothes giving themselves away completely. Moans were muffled by kisses, bruises would be left when it was over but neither of them cared, in this moment nothing else existed. Their excitement had reached its peak and exploded in a wave of passion, they held tightly to one another although they were shuddering apart; his hands gripped her waist tightly and her nails raked across his back; exhausted they collapsed in each others arms. "Even if I knew every single word in every language around the entire world there still wouldn't be enough to describe how much I love you Rae" Luca panted still trying to catch his breath. "I couldn't have said it any better" she yawned wrapping herself around him and falling into a peaceful sleep.
