I decided to continue drying myself off and putting on my PJs as the teapot was still in an illuminated state on my dresser.
With my back facing my dresser, I unwrapped my towel from around me, and started wiping my body.
"My my, that's a lovely view" came an unfamiliar, masculine voice.
The shock caused me to spin around almost instantly, dropping my towel in the process.
I found myself staring into a pair of piercing green eyes. A man's face was very clearly outlined in the light coming from the teapot, a very chiseled man's face if I may add.
"Wow, this front view is even better" he said with a wink, his words laced in a British accent.
My cheeks flushed as I grabbed my towel and wrapped it around me, securing it tightly.
I just stood there frozen for a good few moments.
"Lost for words are we? I tend to have that effect on people." there was a hint of arrogance in his tone.
I literally had to pinch myself to ensure that all of this wasn't just a figment of my imagination. A strikingly handsome face just appearing in the light shining from the teapot was a bit much, even for me, to wrap my head around. How is all of this even possible? Was it the hand of some kind of advanced technology at play? I had to rule out that theory considering the teapot had been passed down through generations. Perhaps it was upgraded as it was passed down?
"Did you really just pinch yourself?" he seemed highly amused.
"What are you?" I wondered out loud.
"Ah, I think you mean "who"." he pointed out.
"I'm Xypher. It's such a pleasure to meet you, Robyn." he beamed.
"But how?... " was all I could manage. There were so many questions that invaded my mind at that moment, that I didn't even know where to start.
"Not so good at forming coherent sentences are we?" he smirked at me.
That comment and his silly smirk snapped me back into reality immediately.
"What are you? How is the outline of your head appearing out of this teapot? Is this even possible? Am I hallucinating? How do you know my name? Am I dreaming? Am I going crazy?" I rambled off all at once, unable to contain my thoughts any longer. My mind was in turmoil at this point.
"Darling, calm down, you're not going crazy. You've just met the most exciting part of this little gift you've inherited. I'm the highlight of the package." he boasted with a wink.
Geez, this guy sure as hell winked alot.
"That still doesn't explain what you are exactly" I pointed out.
"Any lucky guesses?"
"A genie." I blurted out. In all honesty, that was the first thought that crossed my mind.
"So you think I'm a genie in a teapot? Here to grant you three of your heart's desires?" the amusement in his voice told me I was incredibly mistaken.
