The room was filled with golden colored treasure chests. The kind you would think only exists in movies. Was this the safe? Where all valuables of the estate was kept? Why weren't there more guards in that case, I wondered to myself. Or at the very least more smarter ones.

"It's the decoy safe." Xypher whispered in my ear, adding some clarity to my initial assumption.

Decoy safe? Why did we sneak into the decoy safe and not the actual safe. Surely, the actual safe must have more valuable assets than this. I could only imagine. If the decoy safe had me so captivated already, the actual safe would be much more grand.

"My remains are hidden here. The decoy safe has bones instead of the real valuable assets. That's why we're here."

"Oh." was all I could manage to whisper back in response.

I was mildly suspecting that he could read my thoughts. I mean how else was he able to give such accurate responses to my thoughts. Was that even possible though?

My little thought fest was interrupted by the treasure chests being opened, one after the other, until it seized.

"This is it." Xypher called out excitedly, and a bit too loudly in my opinion.

I walked closer to the last treasure chest that had been opened.

"How do you know it's this one?" I whispered back, genuinely curious, when I finally reached it. Looking around, there were bones in each one of the treasure chests that had been opened. How could he be so sure this was the one that contained his?

"Are you doubting my sixth sense, love?" even though he whispered those words, I could hear the hint of teasing in his voice.

"Just curious." I whispered, grateful he couldn't see the heat rising to my cheeks since we were invisible.

"What can we put this in?" he whispered out, I had a feeling that he was saying that more to himself than he was to me. Nevertheless, I looked around trying to think of something we could use.

"What about the curtain?" I mentioned randomly. However, it was arguably the only thing in this room that could be used to wrap up something. Unless he planned on carrying out the entire treasure chest, which would've certainly been a mission.

"That's a brilliant idea." he declared loudly.

Definitely loud enough for the entire estate to hear. Were we not doing the whole toning it down thing anymore? Because it sure as hell didn't sound like it.

There were loud knocking sounds on the door, almost as if the door was about to be broken down. I saw the curtain being tugged off, undoubtedly that was Xypher working his magic.

I stood and watched as he placed the curtain down, then he began to pile the bones up in the middle of the spread out curtain. If you didn't know differently, it looked as if the bones were just moving on their own accord.

He sped up the process as the thuds on the door became louder and the door looked as if it were about to give up any second now.

He tied up the ends of the curtain, making a little sack.

"Come love, we need to get out of here." he urged.

I walked towards the little sack he created, grabbing one side of it.

"I've got it." I assured him.

The door finally gave up and a multitude of guards raced in.

"Towards the window." Xypher whispered to me as he was already pulling the sack of his remains towards the window.

Only when we reached the window did I realize how far up we were. It was a long way down from here. We were definitely more than a few floors up to be precise.

All my senses were in high alert. How exactly was Xypher planning on getting out of here? By jumping out of the window? From this height we'd either be crushed to a pulp by the time we reached the ground or perhaps we'd be lucky enough to get stuck in one of the trees with a few lifelong bruises.

I was an internal mess by the time we reached the edge of the window sill, which resulted in me letting go of the sack. I admit I could be daring at times, however this time the mini risk calculation I did in my mind confirmed that even the thought of jumping all the way down was ludicrous. Surely Xypher didn't expect us to really jump, did he?

Even though I had let go of the sack of remains, I watched with baited breath as it rested on the edge of the window sill. I'm assuming Xypher was reassessing the situation like I was. He had to have miscalculated how high up we were. I would have breathed a sigh of relief if it wasn't for the guards that were quickly approaching us, the pressure was most certainly on. I could only hope that Xypher would come up with something. As for me: my mind seemed to be frozen at the moment.

"Let's jump down." Xypher's voice boomed, shocking me out of my frozen state. His announcement was loud enough for the entire estate to hear.

I stood frozen on the spot. Barely processing the words that just came out of his mouth. I could barely move an inch. Was he for real? He could not expect me to willingly jump all the way down. There was no way in hell I'd be doing that.

I was still stunned in disbelief as I saw the sack moving over the edge of the window sill and free falling into the woods. I couldn't bring myself to look out the window to see the outcome with my own eyes.

My heart felt as if it were stuck in my throat. Did Xypher really just jump out the window? How could he be so brave and yet so silly at the same time?

Even though I was overwhelmed with fear, at the back of my mind I was still somewhat hopeful. By some sheer luck would Xypher have perhaps survived the jump?  At this point I could only hope and pray that he did.
