Chapter Nine: First Time For Everything...

You're going to ace this. No fret, right? I thought to myself as I adjusted my armour. Who am I kidding, of course I am!

I chuckled to myself's concious talking to me. I dusted off some dirt off of me and looked over myself. My decent armour. Of course, this was different. It was specially made from Iron Gronkle. Not everyone has this kind of armour. Okay, who am I kidding? I'm the only one who has this kind of armour.

"Showtime," I sighed to myself. I went downstairs with no one to find since my parents were out in the Hall. I got out of the household and got to my bud, Toothless. "Hey bud. And no licking okay? It's another special night."

He gave that face that when I said no licking. I chuckled and patted his head before mounting. He...as in Toothless, was a loyal bud I guess. Even though he keeps on licking me...

I got to the Hofferson's household for now and saw Stormfly there. I guess she decided to let her dragon on her house now. The Nadder squawked in danger when it probably saw us but just our dark figure. I then started trying to walk to her cautiously. It then stopped since it probably saw me and Toothless, not just strangers.

"Stormfly what is it?" Astrid came barging out the door. She then stopped when she saw me and I turned to look at her. Awkwardness fell as I nodded as a greeting and she nodded back.

She then came walking to me. I thought she was going to do some girly girl greeting like kiss my cheek or hold my hand. But no. Instead, she turned her attention to Stormfly, completely forgetting about me.

"She squawked at you, didn't she?" she guessed as she patted the Nadder's head gently.

I chuckled. "Yeah, that dragon can sure wake up the village with one loud squawk," I stated.

I looked at what she wore. The same old, same old. Red shirt, spiky shirt (which I don't even know why she would wear that), denim leggings, boots, shoulderpads and a hood. And with that, her hair was plaited on her usual yet complicated signature braid.

"I see someone doesn't like dressing up," I guessed, crossing my arms as I looked at her again.

She looked back at me with amusement on her face. "Yeah, and that's you," she stated as she fed Stormfly.

I raised an eyebrow. "For your information, this armour is made out of Iron Gronkle. One of the most finest metal on the archipelago that Fishlegs and I discovered," I informed her in my 'smart' tone.

She chuckled. "Doesn't look like it, doesn't smell like it and"- she walked over to me and knocked on my armour like it was a door -"doesn't feel like it," she told me. She then went to saddle Stormfly up.

I rolled my eyes on her sassiness. Odin knows what's up with her mind. "Why don't we go now?" I suggested, mounting Toothless as she did with Stormfly.

"Whatever maked your dragon fly," she shrugged. I chuckled at her statement and we flew off.

The wind rushed through my face as we ascended up in the cloud. The date destination was the usual place when I first date girls. It kind of gets tired on me but if it makes them happy, I guess I'm on it. The clouds were light pink that looked really fluffy. The sun setting reflected the light on the clouds and it looked majestic.

"Where's the date site?" Astrid asked who was flying besides me.

I looked back at her but she wasn't looking at me. "Just keep following me and we'll be there in no time," I answered.

After a few minutes, we got to the site and landed. I looked back at Astrid, and I hoped she actually liked it. Instead what I saw was just normal. What is up with this girl?
