Beep! Beep! Beep! My body raised up to the sound of my loud alarm. I had forgotten to turn it off since we were so busy with the game yesterday and the party. I climbed on top of Chris to hit the off switch on the buzzer. When the loud noise finally disappeared, I looked to see that it was 8 o'clock. It was very quiet now and I wondered if it woke up our other unexpected guests. Chris and I both decided that we were quite awake now and wouldn't bother trying to fall asleep.
I got off of Chris and off the bed and made my way to the closet. I grabbed my slippers and bathrobe and opened my door. It was cooler in the rest of the apartment so I fixed my bathrobe to keep me warmer. I walked over to the kitchen and pulled out my pancake pan, went to the cabinet and pulled out the pancake mix.
The pancakes sizzled on the pan but smelled good. Chris walked over and took a seat at the counter.
"Smells good," Chris said.
"Thanks. Nothing is better than pancakes, in my opinion," I replied.
I set a plate of pancakes out in front of him. He stuck his finger into the melted chocolate and stuck it in his mouth, smiling at the sweet taste. Soon after Hank and Emma, Mule and Felicity made their way over to the kitchen, sniffing in the smell of the food.
"That smells good," Both Hank and Mule said at the same time in their Swedish accents.
"Well take a seat and you guys will have some," I told the four of them.
Minutes later I set plates in front of the four of them. I realized that Jon wasn't here. I looked over to where he slept and saw him still asleep, his arm draping over the side of the couch and his opposite leg resting on the cushion. I sat down with my own food and would make him some when he woke so they wouldn't be cold.
"Very good, Hannah," Emma said.
"Thanks. They're something delicious and simple."
I saw Jon get up from the couch and walk over to us. I realized how incredibly tall he was. He still looked half asleep.
"Hey, sleepyhead. Hungry?" I asked.
He nodded and grunted a bit, enough for me to know he was hungry. I stood up and poured some mix onto the pan. He walked over to me.
"Hey I can take over from here. I see you've already done enough. Go eat your own breakfast."
"No, no it's fine. Just sit down. Honestly I don't think I can trust you with the stove... You're looking half asleep."
"Hannah just-"
"Jonathan. Sit. I will make your breakfast," he tried to take the spatula from me. "Go! Sit down!"
He rolled his eyes and finally obeyed me. Minutes later he had his pancakes in from of him, and I watched as he began to stuff them into his mouth.
There was a practice today so after breakfast Mule and Felicity, Hank and Emma left for their own houses to get ready.
"Do you need a ride to practice?" I asked, noticing Jon not leaving like the others had.
"Yeah if you wouldn't mind... I came with Lebs last night and I guess he left without me..." Jon replied.
"That's fine. We gotta get dressed first so we'll be out and ready to go in minute," I told him.
"Kay."
Chris and I hurried into my room. I went into my closet and pulled out my sweatpants, uggs, and zip- up sweater. We walked out and I grabbed my keys off the counter. The three of us walked down the steps and out into the snowy parking lot. I jumped into the driver's seat, Chris in the passenger seat, and Jon in the back.
