Maxwell and I had made it back to the bungalow and we were changing for dinner. He wanted to go to this restaurant that has a beautiful few of the sunset over the ocean. We both took a shower and changed into our new outfits. I put on a pair of light wash jeans skinny jeans, a black short sleeve button up with the top two buttons open. I put on my gold chain and styled my hair. I had to say I looked drool-worthy. But then as soon as I thought that Maxwell walked out of the bathroom. He was wearing a silk white button-up with the only the bottom buttons buckled. With black skinny jeans, and black dress shoes. His hair was styled perfectly and his tattoos were all on display. He looked beautiful. "Ready?" He asked as he sprayed cologne on himself. "You are so handsome." Was all I was able to say as I looked at him in awe. Wow, this man was my mate. Mine. This greek god of a man was all mine. Maxwell's face lit up red and my heart jumped. I usually never get Maxwell to blush, so this was an accomplishment.
I walked over to him and just ran my eyes up and down his body unashamed. I walked closer to him and he would take a step back until his back was pushed against the wall. I put my hands on his waist and pushed myself onto him and ran my nose up his neck. "You are so beautiful," I whispered lightly and laid a soft kiss on his neck. I had to push myself away before we were late for our dinner. "Come on, lets go to dinner."

We were at the restaurant and were following the hostess to our table. The entire time though she was flirting with Maxwell right in front of me. I could feel the jealousy rise in me and I was getting angry. "So you guys are on a family vacation? Where are your parents?" She knew we were on a date. "Yes, it's actually our honeymoon. Newlyweds." I said happily and grabbed Maxwells waist and laid a kiss on his cheek. Her face went red in embarrassment. "Oh, con-congratulations." We were at our table and she set down the menus and walked away in a hurry. "Newlyweds?" Maxwell came over to my side and pulled my chair out for me and then went to his side. "She was flirting with you," I said nonchalant and grabbed the menu and started looking through all the different meals. "Don't worry, I wasn't even looking at her." He smirked at me. "I hate feeling like I always need to compete with other people to get your attention," I told him truthfully. "Is that what you think J?" He leaned forward grabbing my hand in his. "Well, it's true. You don't see anyone trying to flirt with me and make you jealous."
His face went blank as he looked at me. "Did you somehow forget about when we first met? Bellamy, then Anabelle, then that new kid you slept with." He gave me an irritated looked and leaned back. "I was jealous all the time. I just couldn't tell you because of Adam." Our waiter came over to our table and asked for our drinks. Maxwell told him some fancy wine since his family also owns a wine business. So he knows all about that stuff. "How is Adam? Did he have the baby?" I asked him. "Oh yeah, two months ago. It was a girl. But he moved back home with his parents." The waiter came back and we gave him our orders, which was a bunch of fancy fish. "Do you think we're rushing things? I mean literally just two days ago I was rogue in a mental hospital. And now I'm in Bora Bora with my mate." I laughed, it sounded pretty ridiculous if you ask me. "I think we are making up for the lost time."
"Max, when you were gone, I felt so empty. I felt alone and unappreciated. I thought my life was over. I couldn't stay and fight anymore." I haven't told him yet about what happened over the six months, but this seems like the perfect time. "I'm sorry, I will never stop feeling bad for how I treated you. I will promise you that it will never happen again. I will communicate with you about everything. To the point where you're going to want me to shut up." His eyes were filled with sincerity and love. "I don't want you talking bad about yourself. Most mates would have killed themselves and you found a way to survive. No matter how you did it, no matter how you look at it. You are the strongest man I know." Maxwell poured the wine into our wine glasses and took a drink my eyes going right to his lips. "What are people going to think? Things have never been easy for us has it?" I took a sip of wine, a few drops went to my corner. I stuck my tongue out and licked my lips, Maxwell's eyes focused on my lips.
"I don't care what people think. I think we are moving too slow. I think we waited too long to do what we've been doing. I think we should just get married, I think we should just move away and live our life." He grabbed my hand across the table and held it. "You think so? You don't think I'm crazy?" I asked him. "I could never think you were crazy. I love you too much." It took a second to register what he just said but when he did, his reaction wasn't what I thought it was going to be. He grabbed my other hand and lifted it to his face. "I love you so much, J. I love the way you smile, I love the way you laugh. I love the way you have never give up. I love the fact that you keep giving me chance after chance. Especially when I don't deserve it. I am so in love with you." Before I could say anything our waiter came back and set our plates down in front of us. I wanted to say it back but Maxwell took a bite of his food and immediately changed the subject. "This is really good." He continued to stuff his mouth with the fish and vegetables.
I just stared right at him and never even touched my food. "What's wrong? Do you night like it?" He asked as he looked back and forth between my face and my plate. "You just said you love me, don't you want to know how I feel?" He put the fork down slowly and wiped his mouth with a napkin. "Okay." I took a deep breath and let it out. "I know in the beginning, I was hesitant and I pushed you away. But what you didn't know was that I fell for you that night we met. When we were cooking dinner together and being ourselves. I fell in love with you that night. This entire time I was just kidding myself thinking that I didn't feel for you as deeply as I did. Maxwell Damien, I am so in love with you that it hurts me." His eyes began to water. "I don't think you understand how badly I want to have you right now." He bit his lower lip and looked my up and down. "I want you to do that." Maxwell let out a low growl and pulled his wallet out of his pocket. He pulled out a hundred dollar bill and threw it on the table. "Maxwell, the ticket is only forty-five dollars." He stood up and walked over and grabbed my hand. "Tip." He pulled me up and basically dragged me out of the restaurant.
I know exactly how this night was going to go, and I wasn't going to stop it. Tonight I was going to mate with and mark Maxwell. Tonight is going to be the best night of my life.
