Jonathan
It was our first day in Bora Bora, we made it to our bungalow late last night. I haven't said anything to Maxwell yet about me being awake and hearing what he said to me last night. We were currently getting dressed in our bathing suits to go to the beach. "You ready?" Maxwell asked knocking onto the bathroom door. "Yeah, you have the sunscreen right?" I walked out to him laying on the bed lazily. "Yes, I have everything ready. Don't worry. We are going to have a good day today." He got up, grabbed the bag and my hand and I followed him out. I think he can tell that I was holding back and acting weird, but I didn't want to tell him why. I needed to sort out my feelings first. I mean, Maxwell made me happy, I loved being with him. He made me laugh, and comfortable, he made me feel safe. I never wanted to be away from him, and life without him was horrible and dull. He made me want to be better. So yeah, maybe I did love him.
"We can just walk to the beach if you want?" Maxwell suggested and I nodded. I grabbed his hand and we walked together down the path. We made light conversation as we walked down the beach. "Okay okay, so you're telling me you like DC over Marvel movies?!" I asked him, faking disgust. "Yes, I think DC has way better superheroes." That's where I draw the line. "Are you kidding me? You don't know good movies at all! I am just gonna have to show you what greatness looks like." I shrugged at him and put the beach towel on the sand. "I don't know, Captain America? He can't be that cool." Maxwell said as he took his shirt off and his strong chest was exposed to me. "You can't have an opinion if you've never seen it." I slowly took my shirt off and his eyes raked my body. His eyes flashed black and he growled lowly. "Like what you see?" I raised an eyebrow at him. "More than you know." Maxwell started walking toward me and he looked like he was on a mission, and the mission was me. "Maxwell. Stop. Not here. There are people all around." I put my hand out to stop him, but he kept walking toward me.
I turned on my heels and ran from him toward the water. I jumped into the ocean and he followed me. He picked me up and threw me over his shoulder and then slammed us both back into the water. I got up and pushed him down into the water. We continued doing that for I don't know how long, but we both stopped once we were tired. We stood up laughing at each other and continued splashing. "I won," I said in between pants. "I let you win." Maxwell ran to me and picked me up. "You want a drink? A margarita?" He asked, still not setting me down. I just gave in and wrapped my legs around his waits knowing that I wasn't going to win this battle. "Yes! I want a raspberry one." I basically screamed in excitement. I jumped down and ran back to the shore up to the cabana that has the bar. I ordered a raspberry margarita, and then a mango one for Maxwell. I was sitting waiting for them to come out but I turned around to find Maxwell, but I didn't know where he went. "You here alone?" I faced the voice that asked me and it was a chubby man. He reeked of alcohol like he had been sitting there drinking all day. "No, I'm here with my boyfriend," I said and turned away from him.
"Boyfriend? I don't see him anywhere." The man scooted over closer to me and I instantly moved away being uncomfortable. "He's coming." I looked over at the bartender as he handed me my drinks. "Oh come on, don't be a prude. Have some pity on an old man. I am here on what's supposed to be a 'honeymoon' with my wife, but I know she's fucking the towel boy somewhere right now. Look, I have been closeted for years now, and I just want to fulfill my inner desires. Now, help me out." He grabbed my arm and I snatched it away. "Sir, I'm telling you one more time, leave me alone." I could feel my fangs slowly extend and my eyes flickering. The man grabbed me again and right when I was about to push him away, Maxwell showed up. Maxwell grabbed the man and pushed him away. "Didn't he tell you to leave him alone?" Maxwell questioned the man. Maxwell was taller than him and definitely had more muscle, I could feel his anger. He wanted to kill him. "Private conversation, asshole." He tried pushing past Maxwell but he grabbed the man and pinned him down. "Whatever you need to tell him, you can tell me. Seeing as that's my boyfriend." The man's eyes widened in surprise, I guess he wasn't expecting me to have an actual boyfriend.
"Now, get out of here before I rip you to shreds, got it?" Maxwell's fangs were extended and his eyes black. The man exposed his neck showing submission and ran off leaving us at the bar. "Thank you. That man was harassing every guy that came up here." The bartender said looking at Maxwell. "Come on love." I grabbed our drinks and followed him back to our spot on the beach. "Are you okay?" He grabbed me and started looking all over me to see if I had a cut or a bruise anywhere on me. "I'm okay. I promise I'm okay." I wrapped arms around his shoulders and pulled him into a hug. "Where did you go?" I asked him. We both sat down on the blanket taking out margaritas and start drinking them. "I came over here to watch our stuff, but you were taking too long and I got worried. Then I saw that man grab you and all I saw was red." Yeah, I think I am in love with this man. "You know I can take care of myself right? You're not the only lycan in this relationship."
"Well, I know but that doesn't mean I worry about you any less." He took the last sip and laid down. "How many kids do you want?" I did the same as him and laid down and let the sun warm me up. "I want a big family, but I kind of want to adopt. It's something I've always wanted to do. Whether they are lycan or wolf." I shrugged at him. "I've always loved the idea of a bug family. I mean my extended family is big but it's just me, and my sister." Maxwell moved his hand and grabbed mine. "It sucks being the only child, I always felt so alone and I stayed longing for a companion."
"Would you ever start training again?" I knew this question was coming but I didn't think it was going to be this soon. "I haven't really thought about it yet." That was the honest truth. "I want to say yes, I do miss it slightly. But I need to figure out if I miss it because it's something I want. Or is it because I want to please my parents." I turned my head and Maxwell was already looking at me. "I get that. But I've seen you J. I see how you light up when you're helping people and taking care of them. I've seen the way your so focused and attentive when it comes to your patients. I don't think it's about your parents anymore. But whatever you choose I'll be here for you." He gave me a soft smile and leaned forward and gave me a soft kiss on my forehead. "Thank you. You have all these nicknames for me and I have none for you." Maxwell laughed at me. "I don't need one, I'd rather you say my name." He winked at me and I could feel a blush rise on my cheeks. Yeah, I was in love with this man.
