Jonathan
Yesterday had gone by so fast, and unfortunately, I wasn't able to see Maxwell or y'all to him at all. It was so busy, there were so many emergency patients that needed help. I barely had time to sit down, and by the time I got home it was almost 1 in the morning and I was only able to leave because I had school the next day. Though it was busy I could barely focus. My mind kept wandering to Maxwell, and most of the time it wasn't sexual, but the times that it was I had to find a way to sneak away to the bathroom and take care of myself. If you know what I mean. I went to the bathroom so much, a lot of the doctors were beginning to think something was wrong with me. And I had some type of bladder infection. I just had to tell them that I was going to the bathroom so much because I wasn't used to working so hard for so long and I wanted some time alone. Which was partly true.
I asked Maxwell to meet me early before school but he said he wasn't going to be there. He had pack business to attend to. And of course, he couldn't tell me what was really going on. All I know is that he was in meetings after meetings and we couldn't talk much. Then Tuesday rolled around and he got called into training. They all did. River, Vincent, Jedidiah, and Maxwell. So I didn't ask him much that day either. To say that I missed him was an understatement. I still had his sweatshirt but it was slowly starting to smell less and less like him. Then on Wednesday he and the rest of the guys had to go with Alpha Damon on a trip to a neighboring pack. They were informed of some misconduct in the pack and they were gone until Friday. When Maxwell came back later that Friday, I was at the hospital all night. Saturday came around and he was out of town for a soccer game all day and then again Sunday, I was training. Having not seen him in a week and barely being able to talk to him is making me go crazy.
But he said that he was going to be at school today and I would finally be able to see him. I put on a pair of black Nike sweatpants and a sweatshirt with some tennis shoes. I grabbed my backpack and keys and headed to my car. I haven't been seeing much of Taylor recently since she's been mainly with Augusta. But I did see them a few times. They felt bad that I was all alone while Maxwell was gone doing his job. His dads invited me over for dinner almost every day, and I spent a lot of time with his family getting to know them more. Which was nice and all but I missed my mate. My phone started to ring and I answered it before reading the caller ID. A habit that I need to stop. "Hey, Jonathan! It's Bell. You kind of disappeared. But anyways I was just wondering if you wanted to hang out or something?" Oh crap, I totally forgot about her, but I mean it in the nicest way possible. "Hey, look I'm sorry.
I've been busy, I kind of met my mate. Well, my new mate so..." I trailed off. She was silent for a while and I felt really bad. "No worries! Well, congratulations on getting a second chance mate. Not many people have that opportunity you know. I won't bother you again. Have a nice life, Jonathan." She hung up before I could say anything else.I made it to the school and excitement took over me knowing I was going to see Maxwell. I practically ran inside the school to my locker. Taylor was already there and she raised an eyebrow at me. "Excited are we?" She asked teasing me. "Have you seen him?" I asked her. "Listen before you go running to him, there's something I need to tell you." Just as she was about to say it I saw him and I yelled his name but then I saw someone I never thought I would see again. Adam. Maxwell looked over at me but he didn't smile or anything, it was like I was nothing to him and it hurt...really bad. He turned back to Adam and Adam wrapped his arm around him and hugged him. Maxwell huffed back. That set me off. My eyes began to well with tears and I thought that was enough, that would be the end. But then Maxwell kissed him on the cheek. I immediately turned around and walked away. "Taylor, what the hell is going on?"
