Jonathan

Maxwell and I finished cooking and everything was nice and packed away until they came. It was about 7:00 and they all should be here at any moment. I have no idea where Taylor and Augusta went, they never came back downstairs. "Jonathan." Shivers ran up my spine and I turned to look at him. He was sitting in the chair next to the couch I was sitting on. "Yes?" He stared at me for a little bit before he said anything, he seemed nervous. "What would a perfect day be like for you? Like it can be anything." I leaned back and looked at the ceiling. I have never been asked this question before and I don't know how to respond. "Truthfully, a day in the mountains. Like New Zealand on a cliff, looking out in the ocean and the sun beating on me. No phone, no worries, no thoughts. Nothing." He was silent, I think he could tell that I wasn't done talking. "I've never been on vacation before or left the territory. I want to travel the world and see what else is out there. Before you know, I am stuck here forever." I sighed and closed my eyes.

I just told him my biggest fear, which is being stuck here forever. "We can travel the world together. I will take you anywhere you want to go. When I was in boot camp, we just didn't stay on the campus. I visited so many amazing places. Australia, Canada, even America. I would definitely go back, and if that is something you want to do then we do it." I looked over at him and he was looking at me with such intent in his eyes. It made me feel so warm and cared for. "Were you always gay?" I don't know why I asked that but I just had to ask. He laughed at me and I sat up to look him in the eyes. "Uh, yes actually. I was. Bootcamp really opened my eyes even more. When you are surrounded by sweaty, shirtless guys, it opens your eyes and keeps them open." I don't know why but my heart ripped a little bit. I just felt hurt and I laid back down and closed my eyes. "Well, if you liked it so much you should go back." I don't know why I said that but it was too late now.

He didn't say anything and I heard him get up. Was he about to leave? Did I just push him away? What if he does go back, and then it's all my fault and I lose my mate again. All of a sudden I felt his scent invade my nose and he was on top of me. He straddled my waist and grabbed my arms and moved them to the side of my head and pinned them down. He looked me in the eyes and his green eyes were bright and filled with so many emotions. Strands of his blonde hair fell to the side of his face, framing it perfectly. "Now why would I go back?" He leaned his head into my neck and ran his nose up and down it, taking in my scent. "You just said there was a bunch of sweaty guys, and it opened your eyes." I tried to move my arms but he was stronger than me. Dang, it. "Are you jealous my love? They didn't look as good as you, I promise."

He flicked his tongue out and licked the shell of my ear. I shivered and it sent electricity right to my core. I couldn't say anything, I was just frozen. "You know what you smell like? Lemon and tea leaves, and a hint of cinnamon. It drives me crazy." He took a deep breath and ran his nose over my cheek. His lips were centimeters away from mine and I was sure that he was going to kiss me. I wanted him too, I really did.

Knock, knock, knock. You have got to be kidding me. He smirked and got off of me and walked to the door. I sat up and tried to fix myself. And finally, that's when Augusta and Taylor came back downstairs. I looked at Taylor trying to read what just happened between the two of them. But she looked normal, her hair was how it was when she left. Augusta's eyes were glued to her butt as she walked over to me. "There you guys are, I was getting worried," I said as Taylor sat down next to me. "That's my bad, I just wanted some alone time before everyone showed up," Augusta said winking at Taylor as she walked into the kitchen. "Oh." I turned and looked at Taylor with a confused look. "I'll tell you later." I nodded in understanding and then I heard so many voices. Of course, they would all come at the same time. Now that they have mates they all moved into the castle together. And I guess I will be soon too if I decide to mate with Maxwell. The whole crew walked in and came into the living room and smiled at me. "Omg, Maxwell. Why didn't you tell me??" Bellamy said with Vincent following her.

I sat there confused and I looked between the two, and his face lost all color. What wasn't he saying? "Bellamy not now, please." He said trying to change the conversation. "No, why didn't you tell me you had a boyfriend?! I'm hurt." My heart exploded and my chest was filled with pain, it must have been true because Maxwell wouldn't even make eye contact with me anymore. I wanted to leave and go to my room for the rest of the night, but I needed to hear him say something. "Well, are you going to say something? You guys must be serious if he moved from America to be here with you. Did you meet at boot camp right? I saw him in the castle and I was so confused about who this guy was. But he is a cutie Maxwell." Vincent finally shushed her after her little monologue.

"Oh yeah, that guy. His name is like Adam? He is about your height, has a good amount of muscles short brown hair, and blue eyes." Rhen added in as she came and sat down too with Jedidiah. I was numb, I didn't feel anything, I wasn't going to let myself. "How long have you been dating?" Kailani asks him. "A few months." Augusta scoffed and rolled her eyes. "They already know, might as well tell them the truth." She was glaring daggers at him and she turned and gave me a sympathetic look.

This couldn't be true, I needed it to not be true. "We've been dating for a year and a half. And we are engaged." The fact he couldn't even look at me made it hurt even more. I got hurt again, the moon goddess must hate me. "Oh wow! Congratulations!" Everyone got up and ran to Maxwell and pulled him into a hug congratulating him. I was slowly started to see red, my heart was pounding in my chest and my breathing was getting heavy. I haven't had an episode like this in years, so that must mean, my Lycan is back. I looked at Taylor as my fangs and claws started to extend slowly, so I was able to hide it for now. I gave her a look and she knew immediately what needed to happen. "Everyone out. Now." They all looked at her confused. "Why? We just got here." Bellamy crossed her arms and gave her an attitude, and I couldn't hold him down anymore. "GET OUT NOW! EVERYONE LEAVE!" I could feel him trying to get into the front of my mind and have full control, but I can't do that. The last time that happened I almost killed someone. Everyone's faces were filled with concern and a little bit of fear.

They all grabbed their things and left, but Maxwell stayed and Augusta grabbed his arms. "Jonathan." He said and I roared and his eyes widened and Augusta was shaking in fear. "Please let's go." His green eyes were filled with concern, hurt, and guilt. He looked away and he grabbed Augusta and left, leaving me and Taylor in the living room. She was the only person other than my parents who knew what was going on. Hence the real reason why I went to a public school before, and I never talked to any of the royals. I turned and ran up to my room and locked the door. I went to the corner and let my back slide down the wall and tried to calm down. But I couldn't, he was back and now all hell is about to break loose. One thing is for sure, Rhen isn't the only one with an evil Lycan.
