So far, my relationship with Kio is smooth and steady. Well, most of the times. Of course we fight, argue and all that, but i can't consider those as problems i should worry about. It's normal for couples to argue, as long as it doesn't entirely affect our relationship.
Akala ko, i would be the one with the most issues regarding jealousy. Eventually, i thought wrong.
"Tangina. Sino nanaman yung mukhang paa na yun, ha!?" inis na tanong saakin ni Kio.
Napairap nalang ako at hindi siya inimik. Here we go again.
"Ano Calliana, sagutin mo 'ko!"
Inis kong binagsak sa lamesa ang cellphone ko at iniangat ang tingin ko sa lalaking dada ng dada sa harapan ko. Masamang tingin ang iginawad ko sakanya kaya hindi niya na tinuloy ang sasabihin niya pa sana. He made an action like he was zipping his mouth and he smiled uneasily.
Napabuntong hininga nalang ako. I collected all the patience that i have left and started to talk. "Ang pangalan niya, John. Kaklase ko at ka-grupo ko siya sa thesis. Kausap ko siya kasi madami kaming kailangan baguhin. Ngayon pwede ba pakainin mo na ako kasi baka masampal na kita dahil sa gutom at stress ko ngayong araw." dire-diretso kong sabi sakanya.
His eyes were instantly filled with guilt and concern.
Without a word, he stood up and fell in line. I sighed again at yumukyok nalang muna ako sa lamesa dahil sa tindi ng sakit ng ulo ko. Kulang ako sa tulog, gutom na ako at ang dami ko pa rin kailangan gawin.
I finished my part for our thesis last night, or should i say kaninang umaga. I totally forgot that i have a 7:00am class today. At kanina, kinausap ako ng leader namin na si John, dahil nagkaproblema daw yung isa kagrupo namin, so we need to pitch in for her part. Ugh! This is so frustrating!
Napabangon lamang ako sa pagka yuko nang naramdaman ko na may naglapag ng tray sa lamesa. Kio gave me a warm smile and handed me a plate, "Kain ka na..." he said softly.
My heart warmed because of his actions. A while ago, he was raging mad because of jealousy, again. But when he realized that i'm terribly stressing out, he just accepted his defeat and treated my lunch instead. What did i do to deserve a guy like him? Hindi ko namalayan na napatagal pala ang pagtitig ko sakanya. I got back to reality when he suddenly pinched my nose.
I glared at him, but he just laughed at me, "Kain na muna. Mamaya mo na ako manyakin" he said and laughed loudly.
I reached for my purse and threw it at his direction. He winced in pain dahil tumama iyon sa kanyang dibdib. He just laughed and started eating and so did i. While eating, silenced enveloped the both of us. Kadalasan ay puro kami asaran at kwentuhan tuwing magkasama kami, i never had a dull moment with him. Although this kind of silence is not awkward, it's comforting.
Once we finished, we stood up and walked our way to the parking lot. Napahikab ako habang naglalakad kami. Damn, i'm so sleepy na. I was surprised when Kio suddenly stopped walking, he was holding my hand, so it made me stop too.
