"Charisma? Can you speak to me?"

"She can't. She won't."

"And why's that?" He started taking notes again.

"Because she isn't Charisma anymore. It's taking over."

"Taking over what?"

"Charisma."

"I don't understand."

"Nobody does. I cannot explain it. You have to feel it to understand. It's almost like you're trapped in a cage. Everyone you've ever known and loved are around the cage, loving and enjoying each other...but you're in cage. No one but yourself."

"Is that what it feels like when it takes over?"

"No, of course not. It feels like a fire burning through you from the inside out. You feel so much pain it's almost like nothing more can hurt you."

"Is that how charisma feels?"

"You can never put an estimate the pain. I can see feels much worse." I grab her hand and give it a squeeze.

"And what exactly is 'it'?" I ignore him and he scribbles some more."Why can't she talk again?"

"Because she's not happy anymore. She's lost herself."

I look to my sister. She is so pale, maybe even a little gray. Her blue eyes are dark and dull. She's staring right in front of her, her mouth hanging wide open. I notice the dress she is wearing. It's a beige, but is dirty. She isn't wearing shoes, which isn't a surprise.

"I don't think that's the case. I think she's um-"

"Don't say it. I told you-"

"I can't help her."

"Don't say that!"

"I really can't. This is so out of reach from my profession." He got up from his chair and walked over to his desk to look through some paper work. "Maybe I can refer you to someone. I know plenty of electroshock therapist that may be able to fix her."

"What is wrong with you?" I'm standing now.

"I cannot help her, I am dearly sorry. I can guarantee you that she will be in trusted hands-"

I got up and grabbed Charisma's arm and left his office before he can finish another sentence.

I'll take care of it myself.
