I yawned, dad was at work and wouldn't return to the house to around 7pm-7:30pm. I looked at the time it read 11:30am. I had plenty of time.

I got up, did my business and got ready for the day. I grabbed my phone and made sure it had actually charged before I pop it in my pocket.

I walk downstairs and I start to cook myself brunch as it now around 12pm. As I'm eating my brunch I realise there's a storm coming and dads left the washing out. Wonder why he doesn't use the washing machine. I'd have to ask him later.

I put my plate in the dishwasher and then wash and dry my hands before getting the clothes which are now soaking wet with the sudden rainstorm and I place them in the dreyer. I managed to get all the clothes in and check for anything else that could get soaked in our back garden before I locked the door and ran to where the shed was to make sure it was locked.

As I walk to the shed I saw Jupiter drive by. Lucky they've probably return from somewhere warm or are warm as I'm looking like a maniac trying to see if the shed door is locked. Unfortunately it is not locked so now I have to venture inside to get the key and before I do that I grab a towel and take my socks off before drying my feet, putting new socks on and putting my trainers on after I've tied my laces.

Then I look for the shed key and I can't find it anyway. It's not in my pocket. I put my phone on the table and go upstairs and look for the shed key in dads bedroom which he banned me from going in but the sheds unlocked and it's chucking it down out there. No sign

I grab a coat, do it up and grab my hat and scarf and make sure my hoods up before I get the house keys and lock up the house and venture to the station to get the shed keys of my dad.

As I walked to the station the rainpour got worse and here's me a little red haired gal who wanted a chill day instead is going out in the freezing cold to get the shed keys of her farther.

I finally arrived at the station and I couldn't see anyone so took off my hood once I walked in and walked upstairs, squishing as I do so. I can hear vague voices coming from upstairs. It sounds like Ellie, Sam, Elvis and Steele.

I finally arrived at the kitchen and knocked to announce my presence. They all turned there heads around and Steele says "Come in"

I walk in and straight to my dad "Shed keys please unless you want it flooded again" I say

Sam chuckles but gives me the shed keys. "Washings in, you really should use a dryer dad works wonders" I laugh softly before I turn to walk back out but Steele stops me "Jones?"

"Yes sir?" I say

"You do realise you've just walked out while it's chucking it down and pertionally a high tide coming in?" Steele says

"Knew it was raining, tides not a clue" I say as I walk out.

I put my hood up and made my way back to my house. Steele's not wrong the water on the floor is stating to get very high.

I run to the house and I lock up the shed before I unlock the house and I walk in before locking it. I'm drenched, absolutely drenched.

I put my coat in the dreyer and put the dreyer on before I warm myself up and I hear my phone vibrate. It's a call of dad so I answer.

Italic - me
Bold and italic - Sam

"Hello?"
"Jones it's your dad"
"I know who it is dad, your saved as Dad on my phone but what's up?"
"You back in the house"
"Yeah why?"
"The tide is starting to get proper high, I think it be safer if you came back"
"So you want me back?"
"Unless you feel your safer there"
"Well dad"
"Don't think I make it back, it's proper high out there and I've locked the shed and checked outside"
"I don't like you staying there by yourself when there's a flood this bad but stay safe will you and call me every hour or if not call text me every hour will you"
"Yes dad, I make sure I will"
