NEIL

Neil was glad for a distraction when the foxhole court stadium came into view, his body was already cramping up, and Eris's knee that was jabbing into his shoulder didn't help in the slightest.

The six of them got out of the car and Neil was grateful that he got to stretch out, he didn't miss the glares that Eris and Kevin kept throwing to each other since they weren't allowed to fight. Personally he didn't understand how Kevin wasn't backing down from her cruel stare, it was almost down right terrifying.

She was a little strange. He was pretty sure if she had his father's icy blue eyes, her stare would be just as cruel and cold as his.

They made there way to the stadium and Eris unlocked all the doors with her own set of keys that Wymack had given her, probably a while ago, if Neil had to guess from their ragged state. Once they were inside they stopped at a final door with a keypad on it that Eris reached for.

"This is our entrance, code changes every couple months. This time it's 0508" Eris explained as she punched the digits in.

"0508, like May and August, Wymack and Abby's birth months. Told you they were boning. When's your birthday?" Nicky asked Neil.

"It was in March"

Out of the corner of his eye he saw Eris's head shoot in his direction with narrowed eyes, he could feel her eyes combing him over. He kept his eyes fixated on Nicky and away from Eris's unsettling stare.

"Oh, we missed it. But we recruited you in April so that's like the best birthday gift ever. What'd your girlfriend get you?" Nicky asked.

"What?" Neil blinked dumbly.

"Come on. Cute face like yours has to have a girlfriend. Unless you swing my way, of course, in which case please tell me now and save me the trouble of having to figure it out"

Neil stared at him for a moment, in slight shock.

"Nicky, can you not hit on every single guy we bring in please? You don't see me hitting on everyone that joins" Eris said scornfully, but she was grinning in amusement.

"How's Allison by the way?"

"You shut your mouth before I do it for you" Eris warned dangerously as Andrew watched intently, "Oooh, touchy, touchy. I'm beginning to think maybe Nicky's right on that bet, and I'll lose some money."

"What's it matter anyways?" Neil interrupted sensing a fight building, Eris was twitching in anger with her fists clenched tightly, staring down daggers at Nicky.

"I'm curious," Nicky said.

"He means nosey," Aaron said.

"I don't swing either way," Neil said, "Let's go in."

"Bullshit" Nicky shook his head, he noticed Andrew shoot Eris a raised eyebrow. She merely looked over at Neil, tilting her head as she studied him again, she nodded seemingly taking that as what it was, the truth.

"Just go" Kevin told Neil as he pushed the door open and walked into the lounge.

It had two couches and three armchairs formed in a semicircle around an entertainment center with a large tv. The walls were covered in photographs, some were official team photos, snapshots of goals, pictures clipped from newspapers, though most looked like they were taken by the Foxes themselves.

There was a whole clump dedicated to the four Fox girls, and instantly Neil got the clue of the bet that Andrew had referred to. In most of the photos of them the four of them were together, arm in arm, in every one Allison and Eris were glued side by side.
