Chapter 10 - Remembering Past

"You know what..she was not just her crush but he was deeply in love with her." Suho specified.

"What?? We didn't know anything. We never heard about this!" I was shocked too. Because Chanyeol didn't have any such scandal.

"I don't talk about it much now. It was past. I've moved on I guess." Chanyeol replied.

"But still, I want to know. We still have so much time." I insisted.

"Really? Why are you interested so much? I'm not your bias anymore" Chanyeol winked.

"Jebal Ajusshi" I wanted to act cute but I failed coz they burst into laughter when they saw my face.

"Ohk Ohk stop it now " Chanyeol tried to stop his laughter and said,

"We were high school friends. She was my classmate. Actually she was a nerd. Honestly, I did friendship with her so that I could get her notes. I used to be busy with my school band. She was our class topper. I asked her help and she agreed."

"Why only her? Why not any other girl?" I questioned.

"I saved her once from some girls bully gang. She was under my debt, something like that she used to say. Secondly, she was the first girl who didn't ask my number nor asked for going out. I thought she is not interested in me at all. So we can be just like..you helped me and I will help you."

"Smart boy!! But you said she was not interested in you then how you two..??"

"It was me, first. She used to help me without asking anything in return. She used to be so quite in class..she barely had any friends. I started feeling bad for her. I was surrounded by so much of friends and all. She was all alone still very happy. " He went on.

"The only person whom she used to talk was me. I felt guilty that I was so selfish. I only talk to her whenever I needed her. So, finally I decided to be her friend, her only friend."

"Slowly we started going out for movies, sometimes we used to study in park etc etc. And, I started felling for her."

"Daeback then??" Me and my never ending curiosity. I wasn't jealous because I was knowing that the end but still..

"I gave audition in SM talent and got selected as trainee. On the day of my final result, I called her and confessed my feelings. She didn't say a word. She was just crying." His voice shattered.

"She didn't give me any answer that day. I thought she is still confused I should give her time. I used to talk to her like before only, but she started being quite. She used to just smile at me randomly. I didn't know anything about what was going in her head, what she was thinking."

"I tried my best to be in touch with her. But we cannot do things from one side only. We need response from the front. I was not getting any such response.
It was already one year since I confessed. How much more time she needs..that was the only thing I used to think. I started getting frustrated, I used to shout a lot, I used to get angry over small little things. But important thing was it was a crucial time as our debut was in line." Chanyeol stopped suddenly.

"We used to calm him down. We used to discuss a lot so that he can distract his mind and concentrate. But nothing was working" Suho continued.

"Just 3 months before our debut. She called me and said that although she was happy with me. She loves my company but she still she doesn't have that feeling for me. She cannot reciprocate my feelings." Chanyeol stopped again.

"He said nothing to us. He just went his home for whole 1 month. And when he returned he was in his normal way, wore a mask of happy, cheering, flirting boy. He soon became famous as a play boy in our training campaign." Suho continued.

It was a complete pause for about 2 mins.

"I don't know why she did that thing but she definitely lost her chance to get a gem." I disturbed the silent.

Chanyeol gave a sad smile.

"What about you Suho? Didn't you have any crush or love like something before?" I looked at Suho asking him.

"I had 2 relationship before becoming a SM traniee. But it was not that serious. We knew that it was just for a time pass." Suho replied.

"I thought that you are a serious guy. Whatever you do, you do it seriously..but.. ohk wait what about you and Irene??" I asked directly. Was I too straightforward? I heard many times about their dating rumours.

"Haha no nothing is going on..we are just a good labelmate that's all. We both find it funny whenever we read such news." Suho replied laughingly.

"Should we go now? I have booked a cab already.." Chanyeol said.

Our cab came soon. We were on our way to hotel. Chanyeol was all silent, he didn't talk much. Suho and I were talking continuously. We were trying hard to involve Chanyeol but we failed.

I got down from the car just before their hotel road because it was already dark by that time. I said bye to both but Chanyeol didn't replied. He was lost in his own thoughts.

At night, after taking dinner, I checked my Watsapp. I opened our friends group. I saw their messages. I cannot help myself from smiling. They wrote, "hey Arushi.. please don't leave us for them.

"Arushi I am jealous of you."

"I like Kim Jun more, he suits you."

"No, Loey is much better. I vote for him..for Arushi."

I wrote, "Stop making these castles in the air. Don't focus much on me and stop embarrassing me now..you all have already brought so much of embarrassment today. "

"Why?? What we did?"

"Leave it I will tell you some other day."

Then suddenly a new message poped up with an unknown number.

"Did you get home safely? Sorry I couldn't say goodbye properly. Good night see you tomorrow.
