Part 11: Keefe wakes up in the middle of a love triangle

Keefe woke up to an...awkward situation. Sitting around a table near his bed were three people. A girl with dark hair and teal eyes, fidgeting with her dress, a guy with blonde hair and dimples, staring at the ground, and a guy with silver-tipped bangs, slumped and scowling. Keefe could sense the emotions swirling around them. Nervousness, anger, and lots of crush feelings. Awkward. He sighed. He was getting tired of feeling other people's emotions. The girl turned around, having heard him sigh, and her eyes widened.

"Keefe's awake!" she cried. All three of them hurried over next to him. He sat up.

"Who are you guys?" Keefe asked, slightly annoyed at how everyone seemed to forget he didn't remember anything. All three of them slumped.

"You really don't remember anything, huh?" the blond guy said. Keefe shook his head.

"I'm Dex," the blond dude responded.

"I'm Biana," the girl said."

"I'm Tam," the angry guy said, still scowling. Keefe nodded. Suddenly the angry guy smiled.

"I think this is the longest you have ever gone without commenting on my hair."

"You mean how you have silver bangs. They're cool." Keefe offered. All three of them snorted. Keefe wondered what he had said that was so funny. Suddenly there was sadness swirling around the group as well.

"What's wrong?" Keefe asked. The girl, Biana, looked surprised.

"What do you mean?"

"I can feel that you guys are all sad. Plus...some other feelings, but I think you guys would rather that I did not mention those." Biana, Dex, and Tam all blushed, Dex and Tam looking over, not so subtly, at Biana. Keefe snorted. Tam sighed.

"That's the Keefe I know," he said, rolling his eyes. He sat down in a chair and resumed sulking and looking angry. Keefe could sense some relief, though.

"You shouldn't be able to do that. Sense people's emotions without touching them. Except for Sophie." Dex said. Keefe shrugged.

"Who's Sophie?" he asked. Biana, Dex, and Tam all looked shocked. Keefe could feel it.

"What? I have amnesia, remember?" Keefe sighed. Biana shook her head.

"I know, it's just hard to imagine you, forgetting Sophie." she smiled mischievously and raised an eyebrow. Tam snorted. Now Keefe was really wondering who Sophie was. His girlfriend? Crush?

Suddenly, the angry blonde girl came bursting through the doors. She was mad. When she saw Keefe was awake, a look of relief came over her, and almost all her anger drained away. She hurried over to him.

"Keefe! Are you okay? Should I get Elwin?" she asked.

"That's Sophie," Tam said, smirking. Sophie glared at him.

"Be quiet, Bangs Boy," she said.

"Aaaw, I guess Keefe has been rubbing off on you," Tam said. Biana giggled, and Dex snorted. Sophie blushed and tugged at her eyelashes. Keefe studied her. So this was Sophie. The one Biana had mentioned? Keefe could feel some...interesting feelings toward him, coming off of Sophie. He wondered who she had been to him before.

"Sophie, Keefe said he can feel everyone's emotions now, without touching them," Dex said, breaking up the awkward silence. Sophie looked worried.

"What did Lady Gisela do?" she wondered out loud. Keefe could sense that whoever this Lady Gisela was, none of these people were a fan of her.

"Who's that?" Keefe asked. Biana bit her lip, Dex looked away, Sophie tugged her eyelashes out even more, and Tam slumped down further.

"Who is she?" Keefe demanded. Finally, Sophie looked up.

"Someone bad."
