Hi! I am so so so so so so so so sorry for not updating in over two weeks. I know I promised I'd be updating weekly now (on Wednesdays or weekends), and I am going to be doing that. I had a bad case of writers block the past few weeks, cause I needed an in between chapter to set the scene for a huge event in the next chapter. And I am awful at in between chapters. Anyway, here is the next chapter! Its kinda short and really poorly written but at least I wrote something???

Tam's POV.

I walk in on Sophie and Keefe hugging. Sophie is quietly crying into Keefe's shoulder. Well. That's awkward. So mushy. I shudder. They haven't noticed me yet, so I have no clue what to do. I wish someone had a book written on stuff like, What To Do When You Walk In On A Mushy Moment. I think through my options.

Slowly back out of the room, and hope I don't trip over anything or make noise. Interrupt and act oblivious, although Sophie will probably realize I have been here for a while.Just stay frozen here until they notice me and hope I don't seem too creepy.Interrupt, and ask if Sophie is okay, and act like a polite, not creepy at all, not nosy person.

Keefe notices me while I am still trying to decide which option is best. I guess I will not be doing any of the options. Silently, I curse myself for taking too long to decide. I scowl. Why do I have to be so bad at social interaction?

"Hi Tam..." he says, raising an eyebrow. Sophie turns around immediately and tries to wipe the tears from her face. Her and Keefe are both red, and I feel my face heat up as well.

"Ummmmm....hi. Are you guys, okay?" I ask, wincing at how stupid I sound. Ugh, I am most definitely not a people person. Linh would know what to do in this situation. So would Biana. Glimmer wouldn't know what to do either. She's not a people person.

"I'm okay," Sophie says, turning to smile at Keefe. He smiles all sappy back at her. I fidget awkwardly, not sure what to do. Unfortunately, Linh is not here to save me from a huge pile of awkwardness. I act like I am definitely not in an awkward situation. Putting a scowl on my face, I say,

"I'm just gonna leave. There's too much love in the air around here." Keefe grins at my joke, which is unexpected. Sophie turns beet red and pulls out an eyelash. As usual. She pulls out eyelashes almost as much as I scowl.

"It's all right. You can stay here. The moment is over," Keefe jokes.

"I can?' I say, incredulous. Normal Keefe would have made some comment about my hair immediately, he would never have said I could stay.

"Yeah. I want to know more about everybody, replace my memories. We used to be friends, didn't we?"

"Uhhhhh....not exactly," I say.

"Oh," Keefe frowns, "Well, I think I was stupid for not being your friend, despite all the scowls and grouchiness."

"Grouchy?" I repeat.

"Yup. But if you want, we could be friends?" Keefe says.

"Ok, I guess?"

"Wow," Keefe said drily, "That sounded convincing."

"Ok!" I say, rolling my eyes, but smiling. Ugh. I haven't had a friend other than Linh since...she flooded Atlantis. After that, all our friends stopped talking to us. I haven't been very eager to make any new friends since. Linh came bursting through the door and screeched to a halt. She looked back and forth between Keefe and Sophie, who were standing very close together, and grinned. She was out of breath from running and managed to get out,

"Come...now...Neverseen...in...Eternalia..."

"What?" Oh no. No. NO. I was not ready to face the Neverseen again. I couldn't fight them now. Well, Lady Gisela, Fintan, and Vespera I could. But the rest? I knew them. They weren't bad people, they just had made mistakes. Linh ran back out the door, and Sophie, Keefe, and I followed. Mr. Forkle and Zyfira stood outside. Zyfira looked furious and kept giving Mr. Forkle the death glare.

"I don't understand! Can't I live with someone else? Anyone else?"

"No, everyone else has responsibilities already. And since you refuse to live in your own home-"

"I don't want my family involved in this,"

"Well, those are your options. Live with your parents or with them."

"Are you sure? I can't stand him! How am I supposed to live in the same house as him?"

"I highly doubt he is very pleased with the arrangement either, but we all must make sacrifices." At this, Zyfira rolled her eyes. Mr. Forkle turned, noticing they had an audience.

"You kids are late," Mr. Forkle grumbled, apparently in a bad mood. What a surprise. We light leaped to Eternalia. The entire city was silent. The gorgeous glittering streets and buildings were eerie, devoid of life.

"Where is everyone?" Sophie asked, tugging out an eyelash.

"We have had the city evacuated." Mr. Forkle replied solemnly. The jeweled streets were so silent, you could hear a pin drop. I noticed my hand was covered in shadowflux. I shook it, dispersing the darkness. The Neverseen had really messed up my control over the shadows. Sophie gulped.

"Come on. We must get to the Councillor's castles." Mr. Forkle said. "The Neverseen are waiting for us."
