I - I'd like to call you mine

To the one, I ask everything of,

will you embrace me under the
scorching sun,
even when you can valley it easy
under the stars?

Will you breathe my offerings of needles piercing you
from the inside,
even when you can take in the sweetness of daffodils
amid fields?

Will you fly with broken wings,
back stained with blood,
even when you can fly high, with floating chariots?

Will you meet your lips only to mine, cracked by trust or rather deceit,
even when skin full of
care, awaits you?

Will you sleep on shards of broken glass,
even when your body could be treated to the silkiest of linen?

Will you divert your feet to the paths made of wobbly stones,
even when
you can
descend
down
a steady road?

Will you lose me to others and
lose a part of yourself and

  gain me and yourself
back all over again,

even when you can
gladly not have to
gain me at all?

Will you go through hell for me,
even when
heaven gives just as much?

If there is power in what we feel,

a power so great,
lines are crossed and limits are blurred ;

If there is power in how we love, delusioned, wild, a crazy high ;

If the boundaries which contain us
are the very ones that prove our affection,

if it is love that conquers all,

whether it is minutes, metres or layers,

if you say there's nothing in the world that can make you give this up,

to the one, I ask everything of,

will you be my treasure at the end of the rainbow,
today and forever?

will you be my treasure at the end of the rainbow, today and forever?
