On a lonely, lonely day,
I left my heart a tad bit
too open. The rain didn't appeal to me,
as it always did.I fought with a mass of people,
those including myself.A hazy, distorted state of mind,
all because I forgot
to guard my heart well.On this trying day,
I picked up my pen
and bled outalphabets.
The words stayed,
when everything else didn't.Hours and 200 odd words later,
the heart left,
was a little lighter. On this lonely, lonely day,
I left my heart a tad bit
too open.But poetry stayed,
being the friend
I never knew I had.And the rain,
felt like the gift
I never said
thank you to.On a lonely, lonely day.
