So, was planning an online school event and going through my previous school albums, when it hit me that this would be my final year participating and organising events and here I am doing it from home. :'(

This poem is dedicated to all my school memories and all the people who made it so,

it's heavily inspired by my experiences and hence, really close to my heart❤

Hope you all too like this piece.

I dusted off
my old wood shelves
all my school scriptures preciously
tucked in behind the frames.

Carefully separating the laminates
and all the ugly class photos,
spotted all of the
idiots who made my life
the way it was.

The names on the papers
and those frivolous numbers,
a smile crept at the thought
of us racing and competing for marks.

In the cobwebbed box nearby
lay all the costumes and disks
of all the hectic events and inaugurals,

there is never another
like the school stage.

The tattered uniforms grin at me
paint and pen alike
adorning them,
the fabric feeling like home.

I don't want to leave you so soon,
I still need to learn, School.

I don't know what I'll miss the most,

maybe running around campus,
the mischievous bunking,

the smell of the early morning hustle,
the smell of home.

I'll miss you, school,
if I ever do go away.
But deep down in my heart, I know,
a part of me will always stay

in the busy corridors,

my footprints
on the school stage,

through the memoirs, our teachers will proudly present,

the messy walls, our accident art.

I'll miss you, school.

I wish I could go once again?

I wish I could go once again?
