Christmas Love

"Skylar Baby, can you help me decorate the tree please?" I heard Preston call me from the sitting room.

It was in fact two nights before Christmas but since for a weekPreston was away with his friend we decided to leave the decorations until he came back.

His parents, Adam. Ty, Alana and the rest of our friends would be arriving tomorrow so we could all spend the next few days together. We had just about enough room and enough air beds so, why not?

I walked into the sitting room and saw Preston holding fairy lights in one hand and blue glittery tinsel in the other.

Walking over I pressed my lips on his before taking the fairy lights and helping him wrap them around the tree so they looked all pretty and stuff.

When that was done we took the tinsel, Preston suddenly wrapping it around my shoulders like a scarf, "Let make this a little more fun..." He trailed off smirking, taking his polaroid camera out from behind him and quickly snapping a shot of me.

"Preston!" I giggled chasing him around for the picture, "I want to personalise the tree more! It could be a tradition." He suggested excitedly, a big smile plastered on his face like a little kid on Christmas, well lets face it, Preston's a big kid so he's obviously going to be like this around Christmas time!

"Okay, we can take more pictures when our family and friends arrive tomorrow to make it more personalised.." I say taking the picture off Preston finally and going into the kitchen to grab some string to tie it on the tree.

We had fun decorating the tree with pictures of us, Preston kept pulling me in for selfies and silly pictures that were cute and funny, and I got pictures of Preston when he wasn't looking and he got more pictures of me, laughing and smiling.

"Now for the baubles and candy canes!" He cheered, lifting up our final box full of ornaments -and a box of candy canes on top- and bringing it closer to us.

"We had personalised ones with our names on them, Preston's name was on the outside of a lava bucket, a little trinket that Mitch and Adam found when in PAX last year.

And mine was on a diamond sword, also from Mitch and Adan from PAX. They got one for everyone. Alana got a heart with her name from Mitch and Ty got a pig with his name on it as a joke from Adam. Jerome obviously bought himself a Betty one and Lachlan a diamond sword just like me!

"Hey Sky, do you want to help put the star on top?" He asked, holding the star out in his hand after we had finished with the baubles and candy canes.

I gently took the star off Preston as he helped me onto the step ladder, I had to be very careful not to hurt either me or him. I fixed the top of the tree where the star was going to go before placing it on so it wouldn't fall.

Preston helped me down and plugged in the lights illuminating the tree, making it more beautiful and Christmasy that it already was.

We stood back and wrapped our arms around each other as we gazed at our work, both of us pretty proud.

"Merry Christmas Mrs. Aresment." He spoke, pecking my lips lightly, "That's all you got Mr. Arsement? I am carrying our baby after all." I teasingly reminded him as he placed mid hands on my bump, "How could I forget." He replied kissing me more passionately, softer and sweeter, before bending down and kissing my stomach, where our baby lay.

"Merry Christmas little bump, can't wait to finally meet you next year."

I giggled in joy placing my hand on my stomach, "he's kicking, he knows your voice." I say, biting my lip happily.
Preston stands back up and presses his hands to my stomach again, feeling our little baby kick, "I bet he can't wait to come out and see us, huh?"

"I'm sorry he?" I question, we didn't know whether it was a boy or girl yet so I don't know where he's coming from, "Just a hunch, our little Piper will be an amazing boy." I playfully hit Preston on the arm, "We're not naming our baby Piper! We already went through this, and what if it's a girl?"

"We'll name her Elizabeth, Eli or Liz for short."

"You're unbelievable Preston." I say shaking my head, "But you love me anyways." He smiles stopping me from replying with a kiss, because he already knows my answer.

"Next year it'll be the three of us, the best year I think we'll ever have."

"Definitely." I whisper in agreement.

Absolutely unbelievable that its over, well not completely but still :)
