Juggernaut's POV
"No, that won't work...."
I was currently looking through the data I took from Joule when she was connected to the Muse, while simultaneously gathering Septima to fortify the fortress.
I wanted to examine the Garden, but the Muse locked me out. I could make a clone of Lumen, but there was no body for the clone to connect to. I needed Joule.
I then shot out of my seat, grinning like a madman. I didn't need Joule! She mentioned another.
Mytyl.....
Ashton's POV
I let Joule and GV have there father-daughter moment while I talked to Malik.
"How long does an Oracle live before they become a Watcher?"
"A hundred years or so, Depending upon the original Septima of the Oracle."
I nodded. "So you were Oracle of balance 100 years ago, then?"
"That's how it's supposed to be."
I raised an eyebrow. "It wasn't?"
He shook his head. "No. Zonda's blasphemy messed up everything."
He then sighed, and said something to himself, "Hopefully the Ritual solves it.""What is the Ritual?" Malik jumped, then turned away from me.
"One of the most closely guarded secrets. I can not tell you."
He then composed himself. "Let us go to Alexandra. I am eager to test her..."
Alexandra's POV
My office door opened, and my breath hitched. It was That man. And Ash.
The man turned towards my brother. "Step back." He did so. His name came to me. Malik. He strode towards me, placing a hand on my forehead. The world around me faded....I was standing in a purple and silver void, Malik across from me. I turned to him. "Where is this? Who are you!?"
"You will know." He removed his cloak, raising a hand.
"I am Malik, Watcher of the Oracle of Balance." A wolf appeared next to him, with glowing white eyes.....
Memory.
I was exploring the forest with Ash, when we came across a big stone door. I helped him push it open. Inside was a large Garden. For some reason, I felt safer here than anywhere else.
There was a glowing altar in the center.
Ash dared me to touch it, and I was going to anyway, but I teased him nonetheless.
As I approached, Ashton went rigid, telling me to stay. He left. I put a hand on the altar.
"Ah, one of the chosen has arrived."
I turned around to see an old man in a brown robe. "Who are you?"
He smiled. "The first Oracle of Balance."
I nodded. I felt at ease with him. "Why did you call me here?"
His smile faded. "You will be the next Oracle."
"And what is that?"
He tapped a cain on the ground. "The power in this Garden, and the other two, could lead to ultimate freedom, or unending control. An Oracle guards them."
