Finn's POV:
I couldn't really sleep that night. I couldn't believe I was going insane like this over a girl whom I met one day ago. She was actually driving me nuts. Her smile made me smile. But I couldn't let myself fall. We were casually going out for pretzels as friends.
But the thought of us being more still haunted my mind. I tried to shake it off, but it didn't want to go. I just ignored it and closed my eyes in hope to fall asleep. It worked.
Of course, my dreams were filled with the person I couldn't stop thinking about. She was going to be on my mind, in my dreams and officially in my life for a long time.
At 8 am, my room was filled with noise from my annoying alarm. I remembered it was my first day back. I was working at a small coffee shop not very far from the dorms. I liked working there because I could smell the fresh coffee being made every morning by me and observe all the teenage romance stories start right in front of me. I liked seeing the people's faces turn bright after tasting the sweet bitterness of their drinks. I liked studying all the different people coming in to get their favorite beverage.
I got out of bed and got ready. Brushed my teeth, washed my face with cold water to wake up a little bit and got dressed. The boys were still cozily sleeping and I laughed a little at the view of them. I really missed them.
I then got out of the room and made my way to work. Once I arrived, the manager was waiting for me to give me the apron and the keys and also asking how my summer was. She was really sweet. The best manager I have had.
After she left, I took my place at the counter and waited for customers to come. I wiped up a little the machines, because they were a little dusty and then I sat back.
Then I realized the open/closed sign on the door was still saying closed. I went and changed it. After that, the tired people started coming in crowds.
I quickly made their orders. After I satisfied all of them, I could take a small break. I was sitting on the counter, drinking a coffee myself, when the pretty girl from my mind came inside the shop. She was wearing a beautiful white short dress with daisies and her hair was falling down to her shoulders, the sunlight hitting it making it look golden. She was gorgeous.
"Hi! I didn't know you worked here!" she said, smiling at me.
"Yup, I didn't know you came here! Oh wait, this is your first time here, forgot, I'm so stupid sorry." I started stuttering like a dum dum. I couldn't believe myself.
"It's no problem. Um, can I have a Caramel Frappuccino with whipped cream, please!" she asked.
"Coming right up!" I told her, turning around and starting to make her drink.
"So, we're still going for pretzels later, right?" she asked my, with a questioning expression.
"Yes, of course! I wouldn't miss it for anything! I know a place with really good pretzels, and next to it it's a cinnabun shop, for dessert!" I informed her.
"OMG yes! I love cinnamon buns!" she said excitedly.
"Here you go, hope you like it!" I said, handing her the drink.
"I'm sure I will! Thank you! And here you go!" she told me, paying the drink.
"No, this one is on me!" I said, sliding back the money.
"Thank you! Well, I have to go, but I'll see you later for our pretzel date!" she said, smirking before leaving.
It was a date indeed. I couldn't believe it. In that moment, I thought the worries will all go away, because she made it clear by saying it was a date. But that made me worry even more. It could be a date between friends, and that was the best option here. I didn't know why I wouldn't let myself fall in love, I guess I was afraid she won't love me back, or even like me. I pushed away those thoughts before I got more orders and got busy.
