After some time, the bell rang, an indication of recess.

I went to the canteen, and since I'm the new kid, I don't have friends to talk to, and I'm not planning to have one, asa sila. They are freaking useless parasites. Pathetic species!

"Order ka na. Hintayin lang kita dito," he said to me while busy typing on his phone. "Chicken burger and coke in a can," he added, still busy. It's like asking a waiter for his order.

Grr! I should not have allowed myself na magpauto sa gagong 'to. This guy is so ungentle, and I have to deal with him as my seatmate! Schy Lander Chadler? Just because you retrieved Spider-Load does not mean I need to reciprocate your so-called "kabutihang loob." Well, for not snitching on the dean, we'll have ourselves a deal. I'll treat you to recess for a week. OMG! I just realized, na napaka-uto-uto ko. Isa na rin akong pathetic ngayon.

I divert my gaze to my left, bagsak ang balikat ko sa sobrang haba ng pila. There's no way I'm waiting. What if I punch them one-by-one to make my way clear? No, I shouldn't let my intrusive thoughts win this time.

I was walking towards the line when someone accidentally bumped into me from behind. "Hey! Don't you have eyes, miss?" he scowled, yet his eyes were emotionless.

Eh? Did he just say that I'm blind? Ako kaya 'yung nakatalikod, he should be the one who's going to adjust. I don't have vision at my back, stupid. Maraming banal dito, as in holy shit! I don't want to freaking leave a bad impression on everyone.

"Sorry," I apologized instead. Having a catfight with this unknown specie is just a waste of my time and makes no sense at all.

"Tss." He hissed as he walked away.

My eyes followed him, glaring at his broad back. The guy seemed annoyed based on his facial expression, while Chadler was smiling and giggling.

Yeah, who won't be annoyed by Chadler anyway?

"Jayshie, nakapila ka ba?" someone asked as my senses came back. I seemed to be preoccupied with that guy. I focused and realized na kanina pa pala umusad ang pila.

"Ah yeah. How did you know my name?" I inquired, though I honestly don't wanna talk to her. Ganun na ba ako ka-famous? Partida first day ko palang!

"We're classmates. I sit in front of Schy." I am a quite keen observer, but I really didn't notice her. Hindi kasi siya kapansin-pansin.

"Anyway, I'm Artemis Adrielle Gonzales," she said with a genuine smile as she offered her hand. I'll just wash my hands later and pour a bottle of alcohol on them.

She looks fragile and vulnerable. She has innocent features, dewy-eyed.
