I slept until about 2pm. It was the weekend so I didn't need to worry about classes or homework. My eyes were puffy from crying the night before and it felt like a lot to drag myself out of bed.

I met Harry in the common room, he always seemed so sympathetic and concerned in moments like this. We were sat on one of the sofas together, my legs resting comfortably on Harry's lap. We were always so comfortable together, like the siblings neither of us ever got to have.

"Ron shouldn't have said what he said," Harry attempted to comfort me.

"No, he's probably right. About Krum, I mean," I sighed. "I shouldn't have gone with him, I'm just so confused. Right up until this year I always thought maybe Ron and I would end up together, but then Fred turns around and-"

Harry sat up, startled, "Hang on, Fred? Since when was Fred a factor?"

"I don't know, it's probably hormones or something. I'm just so confused all the time I don't know who I like or why I even like any of them, but I just do. Oh and I was so horrible to Fred last night," I said as the realisation of everything that happened the night before fully settled in. "Would you mind-" I began.

"Go find Fred," Harry chuckled, rolling his eyes slightly.

I hugged him tight before half-running out of the common room. As I turned the corner, I was abruptly stopped by Dumbledore and everything turned black.

I didn't know how long I had been out for but upon regaining consciousness, everything seemed muffled and I couldn't take a breath. I was underwater, an arm clinging to my waist, pulling me up to the surface. I took a sharp breath in as we broke through the water and was shocked to hear an eruption of applause surrounding me.

It had been a Triwizard challenge. I had been kidnapped by my teacher for this nonsensical tournament.

I turned to Viktor, he had pulled me from the water. If I'm honest, I'd assumed it would be Harry, but I suppose this made more sense, given the events leading up to it. I was pulled up onto the platform and given a towel to get warm and dry.

"Are you okay?" My heart wrenched as I immediately recognised the voice. I turned to face Fred. "Granger, I've been looking for you all day I was so fucking worried. I thought something had happened to you, or worse, you were ignoring me," he smirked. Of course he had to add that hint of sarcasm, of course he had to tease me like that. He couldn't be nice all the time, that would be too easy.

"I'm sorry for yelling at you," I replied, that was all I could think to say to him.

"No, I deserved it, you were feeling vulnerable and I was in the wrong." He looked slightly guilt-ridden and I felt bad for enjoying seeing him like this. Maybe it showed he cared.

We were abruptly interrupted as Ron and a young girl broke through the surface of the lake. I heard murmurs from behind me, filling me in on what I'd missed during my time trapped at the bottom of the lake. The small girl was apparently Fleur Delacour's sister, Gabrielle, but Fleur hadn't managed to retrieve her so nobody could say how she appeared at the surface.

Some moments later, Harry burst out from under the water. I gasped. How could I be so selfish? I was so glad that Ron and I were safe that I completely forgot that Harry had had to face whatever horrid creatures were lurking at the bottom of the lake.

He was pulled up onto the platform and I hugged him tight before he was handed a towel.

"Harry, you saved Fleur's sister too? You didn't have to do that, do you know how dangerous that was?" I blurted, concerned.

"I'm sure you would've done the same, 'Mione," he sighed before continuing, "and I'm sorry I got you into this, if you'd stayed in the common room with me they wouldn't have been able to take you." He looked immensely disappointed in himself.

"Don't be silly, you didn't know they'd do that, and besides I got to speak to Fred right after."

"And?" Harry smirked.

"He might care about me just a little bit." I tried to hide a smile but it felt nearly impossible. He cares about me.
