Jahseh walked me home from the park.

When we arrived at my house the garage door was open and my parents were in there so they could see us.
We hugged.
We had little conversation.

"I love you my baby" he says
"I love you too Seh" I said
Then he started walking home.
I started walked in the garage.
"What was that about?" My dad questioned
"What?" I asked
"'I love you my baby'" he mimicked Jahseh
"Nothing" I said and walked in the house

I was in my room when my mom walked in followed behind my dad.
"Y/n are you and Jahseh dating?" She questioned
"No. I wish" I said
"Then why did he call you 'my baby'?" She questioned
"Because I told him that I was called that all my life but then that name was given to someone else so he said he'll start calling me that" I explained
"Awww he cares about you so much" my mom cheesed
I smiled
"Only I can call you that" my dad spat
"Well that's what I wanted too but you decided to give that name to someone else soooo" I shrugged my shoulders
He rolled his eyes and left, followed behind my mom.
They were downstairs and I heard them talking so I decided to eavesdrop.
"He obviously has some love for her. You can see it in his eyes" my mom said
"I know but he doesn't need to.....and the way he looks at her just pisses me off" my dad spat
"You can't be mad that he feels a certain way about her" my mom said
"If he does anything to hurt her I'll kill his ass" my dad said
"I know you don't wanna hear this but he does have love for her and I don't think is just friend to friend love....it's more than that" my mom said
She was really getting my hopes up.
"When he tells her he loves her....I know it's a different love but she doesn't know that" my mom said
"I need to be the only man in her life" he spat
"You just WANT to be the only man in her life" my mom said
I went back to my room blushing

I was thinking about Jahseh so I decided to call him.
"I was just thinkin bout you" was the first thing he said
I laughed
We just had a regular conversation.
"Are you okay from earlier?" He questioned
"Yeah" I answered
"Good" he said
My dad was playing with my cousin and they were pretty loud.
"My little baby" he said to her
I just sighed
"It's okay mama" Jahseh said
