"Grian/Xisuma, where X is neglecting his health being too busy with his admin duties and Grian makes him remember as Grian used to be an admin on the Evo server" - Karab06
A/N: So romance isn't my strong suit, and neither is fluff (have you seen my normal books? lmao), but I've given it my best shot and I hope I've done well!
Also, it's shorter then my usual writing, and I do apologise for that!! I wasn't sure how to write another scene for it though, or add onto it without ruining it or accidentally making it angsty

The moon shone overhead, stars glittering in the sky. Clouds barely shielded the sky from eye contact, and it was a pretty sight.
The sound of ten or so phantoms shrieking kinda ruined it.
Another phantom membrane dropping to the floor in front of him, Grian slashed at the sky with his sword gritting his teeth as claws dug into his shoulder. The winged hermit slapped at the claws gripping into him, before stabbing the phantom through the back as it tried to fly away.
Fighting phantoms was all well and good when they're your own, but being bombarded by ten of them the moment you try and visit your boyfriend at his base just past sunset was not supposed to be on todays agenda!
When all the surviving phantoms retreated into the sky, Grian took the chance, using his silk touch pickaxe to mine through the patch of ceiling he was standing on, falling into an empty, scarcely lit up room. Grian could vaguely recognise where he was, although he was slightly concerned over the hole in the roof.
Pillaring up with dirt, Grian quickly patched up the roof, before setting off to find Xisuma.
He knew that the night wasn't the most conventional time to visit his boyfriend, but Grian had felt really lonely, and he desperately wanted attention. Mumbo and Iskall had been patching up Sahara, so he couldn't bother them, and he knew very well that if he wanted to remain unharmed, and not impaled on the end of a trident, then Doc wasn't available for bothering either.
That left Xisuma. Grian knew that Xisuma had asked to be left alone for now, but Grian had a sneaking suspicion that Xisuma had probably not slept in ages. The phantoms proved that much.
Moving through Xisuma's base, he managed to locate Xisuma's control room pretty quickly.
The HermitCraft admin was sitting at a desk, multiple glowing screens surrounding him. Lines and lines of code and commands poured over the screens, Xisuma seemingly able to scan every single one of them before pressing enter.
Taking a few steps closer, Grian registered that Xisuma was muttering to himself in a language Grian wasn't too familiar with, He could understand a few words, but Standard Galactic wasn't Grian's first language. It was his fourth, and he was absolutely awful with it.
Shaking that off, Grian took a few more steps forwards and placed a hand on Xisuma's shoulder. He felt Xisuma startle beneath his hand, the admin looking up at him.
Grian met Xisuma's eyes, blue meeting blue, and Grian couldn't help but sigh disappointedly. Xisuma looked absolutely exhausted, which explained the phantoms. Cups of abandoned coffee littered the workspace where Xisuma had been working out, and Grian was not happy.
"Honey, you can't keep doing this!" Grian said, leaning over. He pressed a few save buttons, before shutting off the screens, Xisuma just watching, blankly, Grian knew very well that Xisuma was over tired, and probably couldn't function too well right now, so he'd need to make sure Xisuma checked over the codes again tomorrow, once he'd slept.
"Gri, I -" Xisuma started, although Grian cut him off.
"You don't have an excuse for me this time. Please, go to bed. Sleep through tonight. I'll stay with you, if you want." Grian pleaded. He looked Xisuma in the eyes, watching as Xisuma frowned slightly.
"But, I need to check things over! Cub said that -" Xisuma protested. Grian cut him off again.
"Whatever Cub asked that you check can wait until tomorrow. You may be the admin, but that doesn't mean you don't need sleep and food and self care like every other player." Grian said. "Trust me, I learned that the hard way in Evo when I almost collapsed over a pit of lava from lack of sleep. I was very lucky that Taurtis was there to save me."
Xisuma softened, and Grian knew that he'd won.
"Fine. Just, please don't leave me alone tonight." Xisuma mumbled. He leaned forwards, Grian catching the taller man in his arms with a chuckle.
"I won't, honey." He whispered, smiling.
Leading Xisuma over to a wall, Grian let Xisuma lean against the wall as he pulled a couple of beds from his inventory, placing them down next to each other. He then gently led Xisuma over to one, where Xisuma promptly collapsd, passing out. Grian let out a gentle laugh, untucking the blue blanket from the bed and retucking it around Xisuma. Grian then climbed into the bed next to Xisuma, wrapping the blanket around him.
It was midnight by the time Grian fell asleep. He'd spent an awful long time just admiring how Xisuma looked, and remembering how lucky he was to have Xisuma.
