I was walking to the bathroom at the fair when I heard someone crying. I looked around trying to find the source of the sound. I finally spotted her sitting in the grass with her head buried in her hands. I don't know why, but I walked over to her and sat down next to her. "Hey?" I said. She wiped her tears and looked up smiling. "Hey!" she said cheerfully. I smiled. "You don't have to act like everything is alright. Trust me. I've shed my fair share of tears. I don't judge." I said looking at her. She smiled at me. "Thanks." We sat in a comfortable silence. "I'm y/n,by the way." I said looking at the lights of the fair. "Ally." she said doing the same. "You know what I like to do when I'm sad?" I asked. "What?" she asked looking at me. "I like to count stars." I said looking up at the sky and smiling. "It sounds stupid and it probably is, but it gets my mind off of things." I laid back on the grass and put my hands behind my head. I exhaled slowly. Out of the corner of my eye I saw Ally do the same. We sat there like that for a little while until I saw her shiver. "Cold?" I asked. "Kind of." she replied. I scooted closer to her and took one arm out of my jacket. She put one arm in it and the other arm around my waist. I put my arm around her and somehow we were both wearing my jacket. "Better?" "Much." Another moment of comfortable silence. "If you want to tell me why you were crying, I'm here, but don't feel pressured to." I said casually. She was quiet. "My boyfriend broke up with me." she said. I sighed. "I don't see why. You're a wonderful person from what I've seen and you're the perfect cuddling size." I said causing her to giggle. I paused. "And you're breathtakingly gorgeous." I said quietly. She looked at me and smiled. "You're beautiful." she said. She kissed me. It was short and sweet. Kind of like her. Then she laid her head on my chest and we just looked at the stars for the rest of the night until we drifted off to sleep.
